If/when an alleged incident at a property occurs, as a third party, Star Personnel must advise the client, in this case [redacted] Apartments, to report the alleged incident to the proper authorities. Therefore, once we were notified...

by the property that an alleged crime had been committed, we immediately advised the property to call the police and file a police reports
in an attempt to prevent any incidents from occurring, Star Personnel will also advise our clients prior to service that they should not allow temporary employees to handle any materials of value (ie_ money orders, apartment keys, etc.) without proper supervision. Unfortunately, as a third party, we can only advise our client of these policies, we are not present onsite to enforce said policy.
In addition, in an attempt to try to further resolve the matter with our client, we asked that they provide us with an incident report, any documentation supporting the alleged crime (le. Copy of cleared
money order(s), police report, etc,). To date, we have not received any documentation that we requested they provide to support said allegations.
In conclusion, without the proper measures being taken by the property, and a police report being filed against the alleged party, and all documentation to support the allegations being provided to Star Personnel, we have been unable to move forward with our own internal investigation.

Complaint:[redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  We have filed a police report; and we will be happy to provide the documentation.  We are still waiting for copies of the 2 of the 3 cashed money orders from [redacted] - although we have submitted the required documentation to [redacted] they have failed to provide copies on 2 of the 3 money orders.  Another letter has been sent to [redacted] today requesting the copies again.  Once those are received we will be happy to provide copies to Sterling Personnel.  Additionally, Sterling Personnel did not provide any documentation or information indicating that individuals being provided should not be allowed to handle funds.  This is an apartment complex - 1 person office - it should have been pretty clear that the individual staffing the office might be handling funds related to rental payments from the residents.  Once we have received all of the documentation from [redacted] we will be happy to provide copies to Sterling.  However, when I spoke with them about the issue they indicated they did not have insurance for this type of loss and basically said they were not responsible for the loss.  They were less than helpful; even though we had copies of the money order receipts with their employees initials on them indicating she had received them - these were provided to them at the time of the incident.
Regards,
[redacted]

We would first like to sincerely apologize for any alleged incidents that may have occurred at a property in which Star Personnel has provided personnel services.
It is very unfortunate when an alleged incident occurs at any property. Star Personnel does not condone such activities and we
are more than willing to work with our client/property and law enforcement officials to rectify a situation to the Pest of our ability.
Star Personnel takes a proactive stance on incidents that can occur at properties. To prevent incidents from occurring Star Personnel advises clients/properties not to allow workers to handle valuables. Star Personnel's policy is clearly stated at the bottom of our timesheets, and tirne'.5-heets are provided to the property on a weekly basis. These timesheets are completed and returned signed by the manager of the property each week. (Please see attached tirnesheets-Star Personnel Client Terms and Conditions #2.. Client accepts full responsibility if placing worker in charge of negotiables, valuables, machinery, motor vehicles, key(s), or cash. Star Personnel shall not be liable for any unlawful actions, injuries, -or harm caused by said worker). Please note that the manager at this property signed our tirnesheets each week there was personnel services provided acknowledging said policy & agreeing to Star Personnel terms and conditions.
We understand that each property is different; therefore the properties needs may vary from time to time. Unfortunately, if a property decides not to adhere to our policy, the property assumes the responsibility. Star Personnel is not held liable for unlawful actions beyond our control. The property has been advised the proper course of action in this circumstance is to file with the proper authorities, the police department governing their jurisdiction.
In addition, when alleged incidents occur, Star Personnel attempts to conduct its own internal investigation, in order to do SO, the property must cooperate fully, and provide all supporting evidence requested by Star Personnel in a timely manner. To date we have been unable to move forward with our own investigation being that the client/property has provided no formal documentation to support said allegations. We still have yet to be provided with a filed police report, incident report, and copies of all cleared money orders. it is extremely important that all documents pertaining to an alleged incident be provided to Star Personnel in a timely manner in order for any resolution to take place.
Please note in the last response there is conflicting information stated. First and foremost a completely different staffing company, "Sterling Personnel" is being mentioned on several accounts. The previous response also claims Star Personnel has not provided client with policies, which is inaccurate, policies are provided to property and signed by manager weekly (see signed timesheet). The previous response also confirms that property still has yet to provide Star Personnel with any solid supporting documentation necessary for us to move forward with our own internal investigation.
