We have reviewed the complaint from Mr [redacted] Star toyota believes it is in both parties best interest to refund Mr [redacted] 's money for repairs to his vehicle.The refund will be in the amount of $Mr [redacted] will need to contact [redacted] ***, Star Toyota [redacted] Manager [redacted] will handle the refundto Mr [redacted]

We wholesaled the trade in to used car dealerWe don't receive any monies until the used car dealer gets a title.We never received a title, nor did we apply for one [redacted] told mynew vehicle manager (Edward Villareal) that [redacted] had a ***against the trade inThat's when we asked her to bring back the newvehicle, because, without all of the downpayment, she would be indefault on the new vehicle ***Once again, She can still buy a vehiclefrom us under the same terms as before pending financial approvalAs far as taking the plates off the trade in vehicle, the State of Texasrequires that a dealer remove and destroy the plates before selling orwholesaling a vehicle to another consumerThat is why we had to get replacement plates for the trade inI will be happy to send a copy ofthe replacement receipt from the county if desiredAs a new car dealer, we survive by selling and servicing vehicles.We do not make any money by cancelling vehicle purchases andhaving to repair vehicles out of our pocketI am truly sorry for the circumstances of our transaction, but I don'tsee how I can resolve this unfortunate event, other than to tell youthat I am sorry

Star Toyota entered into an agreement with *** *** to purchase a new *** *** *** on June 20, At that time she was trading in *** *** *** which was titled to *** ***.*** stated that she had her Grandmothers permission to trade in the vehicle and that
there was a clear title (no lien)In addition, *** was putting down $in cash for down paymentWe did send off permission form to trade and power of attorney for *** *** to sign, as well as, request for the title to complete the transactionWE NEVER RECEIVED A TITLE When *** informed us that we would not bereceiving a title for whatever reason, we asked her to bring the new 4runner backDuring the period of time we were waiting for the title, Star Toyota did wholesale the trade in to a used vehicle dealerHe apparentlyhad a minor collision in the *** *** *** and attempted to repair the vehicleWe were unaware of this damage until it was brought to our attentionThis is why we made the correct repairs in our collisioncenterAnd, this is why the Carfax report shows minor damageWhen *** did not provide us with the title, we had to cancel the entire transactionAlso, when a vehicle is taken in trade, Texas law requires the dealerto destroy the license tagsWe obtained replacenment license tags for the *** *** ***, and refunded ***'s down payment. In October 2014, *** came to Star Toyota with the title to the *** *** ***She was told, at that time, that we would make the same transaction terms as before, but needed the lending institutionto give us a current approval for her financingMy customer relations manager (*** S***) informed me that *** had already purchased a different vehicle from a different dealer. To sum this up, if *** had presented Star toyota with the title to the *** *** ***, she would in fact be driving her *** *** ***.
