I would not know the home improvement part of their business functions but when it comes to building a fence around your yard you could be in trouble. They are still working on my fence since Feb and it's now April. Shoddy workmanship and what I believe to be substandard wood. The sales people is dedicated and works hard to get things wright but beware.
This job was completed to the owners satisfaction. I am sorry that it did take longer than expected. When it comes to pressure treated wood, we do make every effort to select the best possible materials available. We did offer alternative products but they were declined by the homeowner.
Costly addition to my home, not done to my specifications. It was not fixed even though I called out the error during the construction process and the reason sited was not true. I hate my new addition which I spent over $200,000 with Starcom to build. They totally destroyed my home that I love so much.
With this project, as is typical, we created several interior and exterior conceptual CAD drawings so the client would know exactly what we are building. These are animations; virtual walk throughs. After the conceptual drawings are approved we create very detailed construction drawings. These are reviewed for approval again. I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations but we designed and built the best addition given the existing conditions and meeting as many of the customer's requirements as possible.
The work they have done on our house has been first rate. Staff is articulate, professional, nicely dressed, and pleasant. Clean up was perfect.

I hired Starcom to do a complete renovation on a Cottage built in the late 1800's. The designer, Tim, was very knowledgeable and understanding of what I wanted. The renovation was done according to the timeframe predicted. They were very eager to answer any questions I had and fix any concerns along the away. I am very pleased with my home and would definitely recommend Starcom to anyone.

We have used Starcom twice in the last few years. They replaced our old kitchen and masterbath. The end results were better than we expected. The transformation brought our home into the 21st century. Their designer added some terrific elements to our original plans. The tile work is outstanding and me have received so many compliments.

Twenty years ago or so, I asked my husband to put a front porch on our house. He said it couldn't be done for various reasons. To be sure, I called Starcom, because I'd seen a job they did in *** and I loved it..........Well, twenty years later, or so, my front porch is twenty years , or so, old and looks like brand new. I couldn't say more about Starcom. Excellent workmanship.
The initial sales process is excellent, but once you contract the communication is terrible. We have peen rescheduled twice and are still waiting for a roof. The shingles were delivered in the wrong place and are killing my lawn, and the Vice President of the company was rude and dismissive when I called with my concerns and hung up on me. Do not contract with this company.
We apologize that your roof installation did not go as planned. That salesperson was not the Vice President of the company and should not have presented himself as such. He is no longer with Starcom Design Build.
They offered the lowest pricing out of several bids I placed for garage repair work. They also had friendly and attentive managers and craftsmen at every step of the process.
Starcom Design Build recently renovated the upstairs hall bathroom in our house. We are extremely happy with the outcome. Tim our designer was easy to work with and made it easy for us to make decisions regarding layout, materials, colors and fixtures. The production manager Derek and his crew were also easy to work with. They worked "clean" and planned around our schedules. They addressed all of our concerns throughout the process. We are planning our master bath renovation with Starcom Design Build and look forward another stunning conception.
After 30 plus years it's still nice to hear the great comments Amy. Thanks again for choosing Starcom Design Build for your remodeling needs.

Starcom Design Build recently replaced our roof. The workmen were very professional, polite and exhibited great attention to detail. The roof looks great. We have had many positive comments from our neighbors about the roof itself and the workmanship of the installers.

Starcom Design Build did an excellent job on our Sun room / deck/ screened porch addition to our home. It transformed our home and eight years later we are still enjoying this beautiful addition to our home. The Starcom team was professional and a pleasure to work with.

They seem like very nice people and I would very much like to give them a great review. The problem I faced was that Brian who made five appointments to come look at the job never showed up and didn't even call to say he wasn't coming. This was after I said to him that I know things come up so just call if you can't make it. I can't imagine how they would handle a problem!
We are very sorry that our salesperson did not make his appointments. He is no longer with the company
Starcom stands heads and shoulders above other design/build companies. For over twenty five years I have viewed their projects from afar. Four of my friends used them for rennovations and each one is thrilled with the expierence. They added an addition to our house and it looks like it was part of thd original build. When I think of Starcom the words that come to mind are integrity, craftsmanship and customer focus. Thank you Starcom!

COMPANY LEFT MY HOME WITHOUT HEAT AND WATER FOR MORE THAN 10 DAYS. I HAVE A 73 YR OLD AND A 15 YEAR OLD THAT LIVES HERE WITH ME. I STILL HAVE NONE
THIS CO. WAS HIRED TO DO MOTHER-IN-LAW SUITE AND DECK. ROGER G (SALES PERSON) STATED THAT THEY COULD MOVE MY OUTSIDE UNITS AND OIL TANK TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF MY HOUSE TO EXTEND THE SIZE OF MY DECK. THEY CAME TO MOVE THEM AND I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS SURE THEY COULD DO THIS ALL IN THE SAME DAY AS TEMPERATURES WERE SUPPOSED TO DROP BELOW FREEZING. HE SAID THE PROJECT WOULD TAKE 5 HOURS TOTAL. THAT WAS OVER TEN DAYS AGO. EIGHT PIPES BUSTED IN MY HOUSE FROM THE PIPES FREEZING LAST WEEKEND. THEY HAVE SINCE TRIED SENDING CHEAP LABOR TO MY HOME TO PIECE WORK PROBLEMS. MY BOILER IS CRACK, THEY PUT PLASTIC TUBING ON MY BOILER, NEW INSULATION OVER WET INSULATION. MY FLOORS ARE SWELLING UP FROM THE 30 GALLONS OF WATER THAT WAS SUCTIONED FROM MY HOME. MY WALLS HAVE WATER THAT HAVE LEAKED BEHIND THEM. HE SENT SOMEONE OVER HERE TO I THOUGHT TEAR DOWN THE WALLS AND DEHUMIDIFY MY HOME THEY PUT WET INSULATION UP AND WERE GETTING READY TO CLOSE MY CEILING BACK UP. I WALKED IN WHILE THEY WERE DOING IT AND STOPPED THEM. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE 12/30/2017. I HAVE SINE HAD TO STAY AT THE*** FOR TWO NIGHTS AFTER MY FAMILY AND I STAYED IN THIS COLD HOUSE LAST WEEKEND WHEN IT WAS A FREEZE WARNING THAT WEEKEND. WE TRIED CONTACTING HIM TO GET SOME RESOLVE AND HE JUST TOLD US HE WAS SORRY AND SOMEONE WOULD BE OUT TO MY HOME ON THAT FOLLOWING MONDAY. IT WAS 9 DEGREES IN MY HOME AND MORE PIPES BUSTED. AA COUNTY WAS CALLED TO TURN OFF THE WATER BECAUSE I TRIED GETTING HIM TO COME OUT HERE FOR MORE THAN 8 HOURS AND HE DID NOT SHOW UP UNTIL LATE THAT EVENING. HIS REPLY WAS THAT HE WAS AT HIS OFFICE WORKING AND HE WAS TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE TO COME OUT. THE TEMPERATURES WERE P, 6, 10, 12 DEGREES AT NIGHT AND 12-25 DEGREES IN THE DAYTIME.
SINCE HE HAS SENT PEOPLE HERE TO PERFORM JOBS BELOW STANDARDS TO FIX THE PROBLEMS THEY CREATED. I HAVE TRIED TO ALLOW HIM THE CHANCE TO GET MY HOUSE BACK UP TO PAR. THEY SENT SEVERAL PEOPLE OUT HERE AND THEY ALL REPORTED THAT HE TOLD US TO DO ENOUGH JUST TO PATCH THE PROBLEM. TODAY, ANOTHER PIPE IN MY HOUSE IS LEAKING ON THE SECOND FLOOR. HE SENT SOMEONE OUT LAST LIGHT TO PATCH UP THE BOILER AND NOT REPLACE CRACKED PARTS. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I STILL HAVE NO HEAT AND THE GUY HAD TO COME BACK TODAY, SUNDAY TO FIX WHAT HE WAS TOLD NOT TO FIX TO MAKE BOILER WORK FOR HEAT. HE NOTICED THAT PVC PIPES HAVE BEEN USED AS REPLACEMENTS ON A BOILER AND INFORMED US THAT THE PRESSURE WILL BUST THESE PIPES BECAUSE THAT IS NOT THE PROPER PIPING THAT IS TO BE USED ON THE BOILER. IN ADDITION, HE WAS UNABLE TO GET BOILER RUNNING BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL CRACKS IN PIPES. I SENT ROGER SEVERAL PICTURES AND MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO HIM IN THE PAST TEN DAYS WITHOUT SUCCESSFUL RESOLVE. I SENT HIM THE NEW PICTURES TODAY THAT SHOWED THAT NOW MY UPSTAIRS PIPES ARE STARTING TO LEAK. I GAVE HIM A REQUEST TO ALLOW ME TO HIRE A COMPANY THAT CAN SPECIALIZE IN FIXING ALL THE PROBLEMS SIMULTANEOUSLY AND QUICKLY TO AVOID FURTHER PROBLEMS. AFTER HE WOULD NOT RESPOND ON HIS PHONE, HE SENT AN EMAIL SAYING HE DROPPED HIS PHONE IN WATER AND HE HAD NO PHONE ACCESS. I EMAILED MY PHONE NUMBER TO HIM AND ASKED HIM TO CALL ME. HE DIDN'T, BUT HE SENT AN EMAIL RESPONSE SAYING NO TO REQUEST AND HE IS GOING TO HIM PROJECT MANAGER OUT HERE TOMORROW AT PM TO ACCESS THE SITUATION. HE KNOWS THE SITUATION. I HAVE NO HEAT AND CANNOT USE THE WATER IN MY HOUSE EITHER BECAUSE THE PIPES ARE DISCONNECTED OR THE WATER IS LEAKING INTO MY WALLS.THIS IS NOT FAIR TO ME AND I HAVE SOMEONE SCHEDULED TO COME LOOK AT THE PROBLEM SO WE CAN HAVE HEAT AND WATER. I WANT HIM TO PAY THE PEOPLE THAT I HIRE TO FIX THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY BECAUSE HE HAS NOT SHOWN ETHICAL PRACTICES AS IT RELATES TO PUTTING BAND-AIDS ON PROBLEMS TO MAKE THEM APPEAR FIXED AND THEY ARE GETTING WORST. I JUST WANT MY HOME TO GO BACK TO NORMAL.

The owner came in my home and his first statement was saying, "we are going to fix the problem that you created by letting your pipes burst". My reply was that's not accurate. Roger, your partner came is and turned off my furnace while they were moving it and never turned it back on. The company *** (***) informed me that he told Roger to not leave the switch off because the pipes could freeze. Roger never turned switch back on and did not communicate to me that the switch was off. That's how the pipes burst. Robert (Bob), tried to bring the same crew in my home that created the problem in the first place to fix the problem. That would not be a smart choice on my part. Since then Roger has shared my Personal Information with an outside agency without my permission. I received a phone call yesterday, 1/23/18 from *** stating that Roger emailed him my whole contract with all of my payments to Starcom, etc., gave him my contact information and said call her for your payment. ***, (***) communicated that Roger was very unprofessional and they would never do work with him again. I asked them to forward the email for my personal records. I am set up to pay *** today. Their Company is not welcomed at my home. I have contacted their Insurance Provider, contractors have begun the work in my home that I can trust. I am going to file a claim with Home Improvement company for licensed Contractors. They have asked employees that were contracted with them to sign off on documents that state if any court proceedings occur, they will testify for Starcom before the contractors were given their checks for payment of services they had already provided. That would be the HVAC person Kedrick that was sent to fix boiler
Had a second story deck installed by Starcom. My representative was Roger G. They took care of everything as far as designs and permits are concerned. I am happy with the finished product and I would use Starcom again.
