I loved working with Jodi!! She was beyond helpful when I was looking to extend my four-legged familyNuka has been a wonderful addition to my homeUpon making plans to pick up my kitty, Jodi was willing to drive hours out of her way to cut down on my driving timeYou can tell she really takes great care of her four-legged babiesI am very lucky and grateful to have worked with such an amazing breeder

The consumer has complained about many things that are irrelevant to the situation at hand which is the loss of ***However, I have taken hours of my time to address these things even though it has taken time away from my children especially my child who has autism that needs extra time and attention I am a single working mom who goes to work daily to make a livingI do not make money raising and showing kitties as my taxes will reflectI am very fortunate if the proceeds I take in cover the expenses which they rarely doConsumer purchased a healthy kitten from me and I never heard back within the hour complete health guarantee time per Sales Agreement that there was any concern for the kitty, ***'s, health Per Sales Agreement after the hours, (other then any genetic defect that would be supported by an autopsy report validated by my veterinarian) I have no control over how the kitty is treated, taken care of, handled and what veterinary care is given to the kitty Or decisions made about the kitty, etcand cannot be held responsible for suchConsumer indicated that the kitty, ***, was doing fine like a healthy Kitty should fetching toys, eating good, Etc I did not hear anything until days after a not recommended rabies vaccine that overwhelms the immune system (kitties can die from) and spay surgery without the properly recommended anesthesia and medications was doneConsumer telephoned me to indicate that she felt [redacted] would not make it Consumer indicated that blood test showed liver values down and anemiaLiver problems can be caused by a kitty not eating, ingesting something they shouldn't, anesthesia or medications, etcand can be turned aroundI, myself, had my liver not reflecting proper values because of medications I was taking but I changed the medication and my liver values improvedAlso, anemia can go hand-in-hand with trauma or things that your body is going throughI was anemic at one point in my life but that also improvedAs per Sales Agreement a consumer is supposed to contact me if there is any reason a kitty should not be altered, (Can actually contact me about any health concerns and to return the kitty as well) however, I was never contacted about any such situationHad the surgery been put off so that the kitty could have improved said levels she would not have been lost If there was concern for the kitty ***'s health to proceed with any services like a rabies vaccine and surgery was a very irresponsible decision to be made by the veterinarian and the consumer this led to the loss of *** A healthy kitty up until being brought to the vet I am very disheartened and disappointed that I was never consulted about any health concerns whatsoever until after the fact and the damage was done leading to her death I was recently contacted by a couple who adopted a couple kitties from me years ago looking for a second set of kitties since they lost their kiddies this past year to old age and [redacted] could've been one of those kitties had things been handled more responsibly and better decisions were made by the vet and consumer None of which I was involved with making and it was out of my hands once she left my homeThank you for your attention to this matterPlease consider this my final response in this matterSincerely, [redacted] ***

In regards to the breeder, I am using a professional veterinarian's blood tests about what was wrong with the kitten An 1/month old kitten was plenty old enough to be spayed The kitten showed liver damage that the vet states is a genetic defect for this animal The low numbers for her anemia levels was also a concern of the vet He stated the animal was very sick and would have passed away regardless of any of this *** was still very small for her age and it is in my question on what the breeders honest intentions were She had stated this was to be a show cat and then had changed her mind I can only confirm this cat was not growing as a healthy thriving animal should Seeing she was placed only for weeks into my home this would not be due to my care Also, the rabies vaccine is very important in a multi animal household along with having a young child The cdc guidelines recommend that it be given I can only think following a trustworthy veterinarian in Sturgeon Bay would be recommended I also have asked the breeder whom she takes her cats to and she has never given me the businesses name I am disappointed by all we had to go through and the cost of the vet was another $on top of what I paid for this kitten I am asking only for the refund of my animal because she was sick The breeder guaranteed the cats health for hours against upper respiratory infectionIf any of these conditions were found to contact the breeder
If the cat were to die before it first birthday and if it were genetic in nature there would be a replacement Now, I have test results and paperwork the breeder has never wanted to see and nor has she given me information regarding her veterinarian that she goes to
I reject what the breeder states and am asking for the refund our family deserves She has misconstrued many of our conversations through emails and has not been honest about money offered and kittens we were originally supposed to choose from This whole experience has been unprofessional.

I have read the response from the breeder and I also have the emails that I sent I did ask if she would take $less for a kitten and she responded that she had a 6month old kitten she would let go I then emailed that I would like to meet the kittens and see what would be a good fit for our family I never agreed to wanting the older kitten I also had been in touch with this breeder for past kitten that I also missed out on She never approached me needing a deposit or asking of any such thing She also never indicated that there wouldn't be any kittens to choose from I drove to her home only to find out that there weren't any available kittens We had been emailing since July and she had sent pictures of the three kittens that I thought my son and I were going to look at When we were only offered *** on that Sunday evening because the other cats were sold, I agreed since I really hadn't any other choice standing there with my child As far as a substantial discount, she dropped the price for her $less than what a younger kitten would go for
I owned *** for weeks She was born Feb 15th She was 1/months old and pounds when I took her into the vet for the spaying I was to do under contract The Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay strongly states she was too small for her age The blood work showed liver problems and anemia The Vet states I was sold an unhealthy kitten and by no part of them did they hurt her I am very saddened that the breeder isn't being more cooperative I treated *** with Love and took her into our family and was fulfilling my contractual duties to the breeder

I had indicated other people were considering all the kittens I had and 
font-size: 12.7272720336914px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">there was no guarantee the younger kittens would still be available when she decided to come plus she had indicated she was most interested in the oldest kitten since she did not want to pay full pet kitten price (that I still would have charged for the older "[redacted]" kitten were it not for her not wanting to spend full price.I gave her a break I gave her a large discount for the older kitten since she did not want to pay full price..she had not made any decision or placed any deposit on any kitten in particular prior to coming to my home or telephoned to check what was still available).  In no way did I say she would have "pick of the litter" which is not customary especially with no deposit having been made and she said she wouldn't pay full pet price so couldn't have gotten one of the younger litter anyway. I have e-mails indicating she only wanted to originally pay $200-$300 under pet price and because of that expressed interest in the older kitten because of that.  I never sold any kittens out from "under" her since I would not sell a younger kitten at a reduced price and she was fully aware of the other people who were likely intending to get the kittens who were to my home prior to her with a deposit and I never had any deposit whatsoever from Ms. [redacted].[redacted], the kitten purchased had always been a healthy kitten all of her time with us and was a vibrant kitty who fetched and returned mice (Ms. [redacted] also indicated she did this at her home) to us numerous times per day we loved her very much.  Her parents and siblings as well as all of our kitties are healthy and wonderful kitties. [redacted] was a little on the smaller side and was of good weight for her size and ate well when she left our home and size doesn't matter just as it doesn't matter with people and their size as long as they are thriving which she was. Ms [redacted] said [redacted] was very healthy, eating well, fetching and very wonderful up until going to the vet. I received a call from Ms. [redacted] days after her spay surgery indicating it was looking like [redacted] would not make it. I spent 30 minutes on the phone getting the details apparently the vet against my recommendations gave her a Rabies vaccine at the time of surgery which already overwhelms the immune system (can and has killed kitties none of mine before though), also used anesthesia and drugs I didn't recommend based on what Ms. [redacted] tells me she was behaving like later in the day of the surgery since if my recommendations were adhered to she would have been altered and not all drugged yet later in the day plus it seems they did many other things that adversely affected her didn't advise to feed her if she wasn't eating and give her fluids, etc. as she proceeded to go down hill. If there were any issues with [redacted]'s health it was very unprofessional and irresponsible for them to proceed with a surgery, vaccine, etc. that could have been put off until a later date there was no rush for the surgery to get done. I never received any phone call of any issues until days after the surgery.This is the very unfortunate thing about raising kitties once they leave my home I have no control over what happens to them (I give documentation and advice but that is all I can do) and how they are treated and this particular situation leaves me heartbroken since I if [redacted] had been handled properly she would be with us today. The only guarantee is a 1 year genetic guarantee and this was veterinary and handling situation that I had not control over that lead to her death not a genetic issue she was healthy the day she went to the vets and then it was in their hands and Ms. [redacted]' hands. However, being the person that I am so that she and her family could at least have a kitty I offered an adult at no charge or $300 off of a kitten which is over and beyond what I was required to do. I had already given her [redacted] at reduced price to accommodate her which already put me at a loss.  In her phone call to me days after the spay surgery as [redacted] was passing away and in the e-mails after the loss of [redacted] she also had indicated she wanted a younger kitten anyway which mad me feel sad and that she had wanted this to happen so she could get a younger kitten as a replacement even though she paid well under pet price which wouldn't be the case no matter what since that is not what she spent. She has since been quite negative towards me and trying to blame me for circumstances out of my control. I understand she wants to blame someone, however, I'm sorry I had no control over what happened to [redacted] and feel [redacted] was robbed of her life due to unprofessionalism and mishandling. Upon making plans to pick up my kitty, Jodi was willing to drive 2 hours out of her way to cut down on my driving time. You can tell she really takes great care of her four-legged babies.
