StarDancers has issued a refund check in the amount of $for un-rendered services for the last days of summer camp(Summer camp was $for Monday-Friday- days.) After corresponding with the parent, the grandparent was to pick up the check last weekShe did not pick up the check, so we mailed it StarDancers is willing to refund un-rendered services(In this case, days of summer camp- Thursday and Friday.) As stated in our policies and procedures packet, yearly registration/membership fees are non-refundable We do give refunds after a student has withdrawn from our regular sessions, but only for pre-paid, pro-rated amounts for classes that were not taken The student in question attended our regular session from August through December of She did not withdraw from that session Services were rendered for the entire session and no refund will be given Our refund/withdrawal policy is clearly stated in our Information/Policies Packet and the parent did sign off on a registration form, which clearly states “I have read and understand the StarDancers Studio Information/Policies Packet.“ The student performed in our recital in December and neither the parent nor the student voiced any complaints or concerns about our studio As for the incident in question, a student's phone was initially on a window sill, in full view When the phone went missing after class, we called every child's parent in the class in hopes of finding the phone After speaking with all the parents, we were unable to locate the phone I am declining on speaking (writing) about how, when and where the phone was retrieved because our studio was not involved in the recovery of the phone There are conflicting stories and I was not present when the phone was locatedJoanna S [redacted] , StarDancers Studio*StarDancers Studio Refund Policy as stated in the Information/Policies Packet and Partial Registration Form- example below: Withdrawal and Refunds: Withdrawal- A completed withdrawal form is required to discontinue classes and payments Complete and sign the form available at the studio office Withdrawal must be done in person and handled by the office staff Withdrawals will not be accepted over the phone, with the class instructor or verbally with office staff Withdrawals received after the 1st day of the current month will be processed for the following month Refunds- Refunds will be determined by the date of the withdrawal form Costume deposits are not refundable after September 30/February or if costume has been ordered early due to shipping time Registration fee is non-refundableBottom portion of registration form sign by parent: I have read and understand the StarDancers Studio Information/Policies Packet In the event of an injury or emergency, I hereby release permission to StarDancers Studio personnel to administer emergency care and/or call for emergency services StarDancers Studio and personnel will not be held responsible for injuries Signature________________________________ Date _____________________ (If student is a minor, release form must be signed by parent/legal guardian.)

I am rejecting this response because:
The check was never sent, I never received a check, I also called..Was told check had to be to my mother, as I am a 30yr old and it's my child I find it odd that it would have to be to my mother. I would like a full refund for the amount of the camp that my daughter was kicked out of, the professionalism of the business is very poor..My daughter has never done anything like this, and in the case she didWe dealt with it as parents of the child, and also to the other family as wellFrom my understanding it was an accident, and we dealt with it right away...Now on the refund aspect, I don't think it was fair for me to pay for classes for her to preform and then be kicked out, the classes were to preform and she was prevented from thatI think that a full refund of my whole investment into this dance studio is fair, I paid forLessons for several classes, and also a registration feeNow I have to switch studios, pay another registration fee, all because of a misunderstanding. You said yourself that you were unsure of what happened, so why was the Blame felt on her to be thrown out, I think there is more to this than that, that isn't just reason to remove her from classesYou never talked to me on the subject not one lets talk about what happened, or let's find a resolution to what happened. My daughter has danced with the studio for yrsand never had anything like this happen, I can see if this is something that has already happened and then yes, removing the child would be the just thing to do..But in her case, public humiliation and rejection for an accident is uncalled for. If she would have taken it purposely I don't think she would have wanted to go to class, as a parent you can tell when your child has done something they shouldn't haveAnd I would have been the first one to remove her from any and all classesBut that was not the case..I would like to be refunded of my entire envestment from any and all classes she has taken along with my registration feeI would also like copy's mailed to me of my daughters classes she has taken when they were, and all the papers signed by myself, along with the fees and payments for everything I have paid for

the last 2 days of summer camp. (Summer camp was $25 for Monday-Friday-...

days.)   After corresponding with the parent, the grandparent was to pick up the check last week. She did not
pick up the check, so we mailed it. 
StarDancers
