To Whom This May Concern: My name is [redacted], and I am writing in response to [redacted]’s complaint (#[redacted] filed against my business, STARIA Auto Group located at 959 S Arlington Street in Akron, on September 25, 2017. Regarding a Ms. [redacted]’s purchase of 1999 Acura 3.2TL....

[redacted] and her mother, [redacted]s came to my office to purchase a vehicle. After explaining that [redacted] did not possess a valid driver’s license, Ms. [redacted] informed us that she would be the one purchasing the vehicle. We reluctantly explained the risks and repercussions to driving without proper documentation, (in case [redacted] were to consider doing so) and quickly received snap and snide responses as to that not being our place to involve our opinion. That Tina wished to purchase a vehicle. Both [redacted] and Tina looked over the vehicle, and test drove the vehicle, then proceeded to purchase the vehicle. Customer had paid one thousand, two hundred dollars ($1,200) as a down payment, and was given three monthly payments of $150 (which is significantly lower than  usually permitted at $250-$300) and a final/fourth payment of $126.38. With no finance charge, zero interest to help her in her difficult situation. Making her total cost $1,776.38 A week following the purchase of her vehicle, [redacted] had called the office to state that there were both a gas leak and a brake line leak that needed repaired, (which was peculiar considering the vehicle was not sold with those issues) And asked for the repairs to be made because the vehicle was now, unsafe to drive. Without hesitation, we agreed to make the repairs and asked that the vehicle be brought in. My mechanic stated that the customer had recently hit the under body of the vehicle on something unknown, damaging both the gas line and the brake line and in order to be safe, needed replaced. We repaired the vehicle, and returned the vehicle to the customer. I, myself, do the social media side and advertising online for the company and began receiving multiple aggressive messages on every vehicle I had posted, under the username of “Ski” (????) that she purchased a Honda from me, and she needed “the guy” to call her ASAP. That the battery terminals on her car were out and she cannot drive it. That she had to replace the gas cap and wants her money back. I asked if she had spoke to the office, and proceeded to give her both the office number and the personal cell number to the guy she was asking to speak with. About a month later, she contacted our office stating she wanted to pay off her vehicle to receive the title. She claimed she only had three hundred dollars ($300) to put towards the balance, which left a remaining balance of three hundred and sixteen dollars ($316) in order for her to receive her title. We agreed to forgive the remaining balance due to the hardships in her personal life she was complaining about, in which we replied it would be ready for pickup on Monday. The Saturday prior to her title being ready. I again started receiving multiple messages, back to back, making it impossible to operate my phone, asking if her title was ready, that she needs to speak with the guy, have him call her. That she wants reimbursed for the oil change she had done, her gas cap she had replaced, her battery terminals she had repaired. I work from my phone. Because she was not receiving immediate responses from me she started getting aggressive. She asked if her title was ready, I responded asking for the correct name on the title and/or the make and model of the vehicle (because I do not remember all details off the top of my head) As I’m looking for the title to see if it had been prepared, she proceeded with her aggressive tone and vulgar language saying how this was “all bulls[redacted]” and that I was an “ignorant bi[redacted]” and a “h**” Clearly, I’m irritated, but tried my best to remain professional. I stopped what I was doing. I asked her again, if she had the phone numbers to the office or the guy she was working with, “because I believe those are what you are looking for” was my exact response, then “Have a nice day” to end my conversation with her. To which she is calling me “rude” for (I have documented, if you would like evidence.) I called my partner to further understand what was going on and why she was now, harassing me and preventing me from getting any work done. I relayed my experience, he then called her to solve this issue, she would not allow him to speak any word, and began screaming over the phone continuing her aggression now with him, to which he became defensive and reciprocated by also getting loud. Her behavior is unacceptable and should never have escalated to the point she took it, but his defensive should not have been to reciprocate her aggression that was being received. His actions have been addressed and we understand that part was not handled adequately. [redacted] became more upset and aggressive when not only myself, but my partner had refused to speak with her anymore regarding this vehicle or contract for she was not the one on our contract. Ms [redacted]s had never contacted us to file a complaint with her vehicle; To solve any issue, or to even discuss a problem that may have happened. [redacted] had made threats against our employees, to file complaints with the Akron Police Department, with Offer Up, with the Revdex.com, and forwarded everything to her attorney.  She has since done so, and continued to take her issues to Facebook and Google to slander our company with her fictional experience that she created. She’s having people that we have never done business with, leave poor reviews publicly. We should’ve taken precaution and refused to do business with this woman after she started sharing too much information at signing, instead of sympathizing for her unfortunate situation and then attempting to help her. Not only has she dragged our business and personal names through the mud publicly online, on social media, with the Revdex.com, on Facebook, on Google, and with the Akron Police department, we have not made any money on this deal due to the forgiven balance that she did not pay, the work we had done to make her vehicle safe again for her and her daughter, but all of the time and energy wasted on her ignorance. It's unfortunate the events that have taken place with this particular person, but with being blessed with the appreciative and pleasant clientele base that we have built, it is understood that it’s only a matter of time until someone of this distasteful and ignorant manner would attempt to take advantage of our compassion. If there is any further information that is needed in solving this issue, I am glad to provide it all Feel free to contact me directly at (330) 285-7477 or [redacted] or by email at [redacted] Respectfully, [redacted]   STARIA Auto Group 959 S Arlington Street Akron OH 44306
