I have never received a call from this patient nor have I called herThere isonecall logged from the phone room that this patient has called 4/14/2016.The first time that I checked this account was back on Jan When I had checked her *** status, it was effective 1/6/as expedited
There was one claim dated 1/6/that I could bill out that was covered, so I billed it outIt was for 1/6/I made this note in the chart:EXPEDITED MCD- THIS IS NOT PERMANENTSHE STILL HAS TO FINISH WITH A CASEWORKER.THIS PATIENT NEEDS TO CALL MCD AND HAVE THEM TERM *** *** *** THEY ARE BOTH SHOWING AS ACTIVE POLICIES ON MITSANY CLAIMS SENT TO MCD WILL DENY NEEDING AN EOB FROM THOSE POLICIES.*** *RESENTED ON 1/16/APPT - POLICY IS NOT IN EFFECT- IT WAS VOIDED*** TERMED 7/15/2013*** TERMED 9/28/2015I rec’d a message from the phone room that the patient had called with an update on her Medicaid effective dateIt was update by the phone room and I needed to bill out more of her claimsI didHere is the message and the dates of the claims that I sent out:4-14-16TAB PT CLLD VERIFIED THE CURRENT PRIMARY INS AND IS CORRECT; PLS SUBMIT CLAIMS FOR DOS 11-25-& 12-16-15; PER MITS EFF 11-25-ALSO CHNGD THE EFF DATE FOR MCD IN SYSTEM TODAY; MSG TO BLLR.At no time did I receive a refund request from the patient or a complaintI have not had any contact with the patientIf the patient was upset upon her phone call to the phone room, they did not notate itThey are very good at relaying the importance of a call.Now that all insurances have paid and are processed, the credit will be refunded immediatelyIt was not our intention to withhold her money from her.Thank you, *** ***Practice Administrator
