Starkey Automotive Inc Reviews (2)

To whom this may concern at the Revdex.com.Starkey Automotive did sell [redacted] and [redacted]. A 2010 Chevrolet Traverse on January 30th 2017. [redacted] took delivery of the Traverse that afternoon after giving me a payment of $5,200 in the balance to be paid on...

January 30th 2018. [redacted] called us later that evening stating the vehicle head stop running and would not restart. She said she had AAA so I told her to have the vehicle towed to Starkey automotive and we would look at it on Sunday December 31st 2017. The vehicle did not show up on that Sunday so that we could look at it. The Traverse finally showed up at our shop on January 8th 2018 we had no way to contact the customer so we waited to hear from customer. [redacted] finally came into the shop on January 16th 2018 and  we talked about having the vehicle look at. That is when we found out that the AAA towing service had look at vehicle . [redacted] said she could not tell me what happened to vehicle because she wasn't driving it when it stopped running.  We gave her an estimate to have [redacted] the owner of the vehicle  to sign so it would authorize us to inspect the vehicle and advise customer as to the problem. On 1/16/2018 [redacted] came in to sign estimate to inspected Traverse. We asked what the vehicle did before it stopped running , he said it made a big bang and would not start.  After inspecting the vehicle we found that the vehicle had severe internal engine damage caused by an overheating issue. We then proceeded to contact the AAA service center that originally looked at the vehicle when it was towed in to find out more information. The [redacted] service center advised us of what they found. They had found that the vehicle was about a gallon low of engine coolant and advise customer they would have to remove intake and do a compression test on the motor customer declined the additional repair. After verifying all of  this information we advised customer engine would have to be replaced do to the drivers neglect to stop the vehicle when it began to overheat. The driver continue to drive vehicle until the vehicle would no longer run .   If the driver would have stopped driving vehicle when it began to overheat  this would be a minor repair. The warning lights and temperature gauge telling driver to stop where ignored, witch caused the engine to break . We will provide all of what we found that you need. thanks Ed Starkey

I have expert witnesses as to the clear and evident defects of the vehicle prior to our purchasing it. I will have a retired master mechanic with over 40 years experiance in the line of mechanics as a witness. also I have contacted an attorney and have retained his services. we will take Mr. Starkey to court and we will sue him for not only the $ 5,200 but the court fees and attorneys fees as well. I faxed the Revdex.com with all of the paper work from my attorney and my evidence on january 30th thank you.
