Starline Auto Sales Reviews (2)

Review: My husband and I purchased a 2004 Jaguar S-Type from Starline on 2/9/15. We put a deposit on the vehicle on 2/2/15 with the understanding and signed contract that they would fix several issues with the car, including the AC, before the final sale. On 2/9/15, the we took the car from the lot. The AC had not yet been fixed, but the part had been ordered. We were advised that they would call or text when the part arrived so we could bring the car in for the repair. On 2/13/15, after I left a voicemail for the dealer, he texted a picture of the shipment details and said he would call when the part arrived. On 3/4/15, I sent a message back inquiring about the part. The dealer called and said he had the part for a long time but had been too busy to call. He advised me to bring in my car on 3/7/15 at 2pm. On 3/6/15, he text messaged to cancel the Saturday appt. Later in the week, we rescheduled for 3/14/15 at 10am. After cancelling an appointment to be available, I arrived at 9:45am on 3/14. I called and messaged repeatedly until 11am. I did not get a response until after 6pm that the mechanic didn't show up. The dealer apologized and offered to pick up my car for me and give me a loaner because I had a long drive in the heat wave. He agreed to fix the AC and R taillight that had malfunctioned since the purchase. He told me to pick up my car on 3/16/15 after work. I arrived at the dealer at 5:30PM on 3/16. I called and messaged until 7PM and no one responded or was at the site. The dealer responded at 7:30PM with an apology and said he would bring my car to me the following evening 3/17/15. After several calls and messages, he never arrived with my car. I messaged again on 3/18/15 and received a reply that the car had not yet been repaired and he would let me know when it was fixed and ready. I am quite frustrated with the lack of communication and inconsideration of my personal time. It takes me 45-60 minutes to drive to the dealer. It has been 3-4 hours of my time each missed appointment.Desired Settlement: I would like to take my car to a mechanic who can complete the repairs in a timely manner and with respectable communication and customer service, and bill the dealer. I feel that some sort of compensation is due for the time, gas, and stress that has been caused from driving to the dealership and back and having no one be there for an appointment and no one available to respond to my calls, emails, texts. I have expressed to the owner what I have missed in order to make these appointments

Review: This business lied about the history of the car, and lied about willingness to purchase back the car at the later date. The car had significant structural damage and when I asked about it they flat out lied out it and told me it had a clean carfax and no problems.Desired Settlement: Refund part of the purchase price
