Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Starlite Storage's response is a series of lies One of the most obvious lies in their last response is the fact that they have ignored the multiple conversations that had taken place prior to the complaint to the Revdex.com Note the file date to the Revdex.com of Sept then note their claim that the conversations had taken place on the 29th of Sept Although I had given a day notice that to move out on Sept19, their own form requires a "walkthrough" of both parties prior to release, of the "cleaning deposit." On the 24th I received a call by Starlite Storage in which I was informed that my cleaning deposit could be returned by US Post for a fee of the money order and gas to take it to the post office When I asked her how much those fees were she could not tell me I found this strange being that there policy is well posted that the customer must come in and get their cleaning deposit in person and that they do not mail Upon attempting to return to my unit on the 26th I found myself locked out of the security gate and denied access although I was paid up until the end of the month where the date and time was given in writing I never left my unit door open per their claim I confronted them about locking me out of the storage unit and I was called a "crackhead" by them Starlite Storage is well aware of the reason for my complaint They double rented my unit, by locking me out and renting it to another, although I was paid in full to the end of the month and my written notice stated just that They are well aware of the fact that they continually ignore the law of double renting their units, thus illegally obtain double rent from two separate customers, while in reality only giving access to one The Revdex.com has been given opportunity to hold Starlite Storage accountable presently If nothing is done by the Revdex.com, my intent is to hire a lawyer, advertise in the local papers to notify others who are due compensation concerning Starlite Storage, and obtain compensation and accountability of Starlite Storage through a class action lawsuit I do not expect Starlite Storage to come clean presently, and I would be shocked if they actually made any attempt to do so They have obviously made a practice of taking advantage of their customers for a long extended period Starlite Storage is incapable of communicating without a mediator Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because: I never became abusive and aggressive was just tired of being told that my intelligence was inadequate and being talked to like we were stupid or criminals and were trying to break the rules every second We were degraded for asking her questions and I'm sorry if I became upset when I was being degraded but I will not stand for a business to treat tenets like is and disrespect them due to age and be condescending when questions are asked I would like for this so intimidating and physically aggressive to you behavior that is referred to be verifiedThe way you acted as a business professional was seriously lacking and innapropriateAs for your attitude you are still being condescending by wishing that I find peace and my situation improves my personal life is no concern of this complaint
Sincerely,

Dear Revdex.com, We received a copy of the complaint filed by Mr*** and have reviewed it Please be advised that we have no record of Mr*** being our tenant, nor has he ever been listed on any other tenant’s rental agreement as a husband, spouse or guest However there was
an Incident on August 7, which resulted in a Serious Breach of Security where a tenant failed to follow the facility rules and did not secure a gate and allowed a non tenant to have access to the facility The security investigation determined that a tenant in unit *** (*** ***) had shared her CONFIDENTAIL Security Gate Code with one of her guest (Mr***) who then allowed a Non-Tenant to have access to an open security gate Mrs*** was contacted by the office regarding the incident and advised of the Breach of Security and reminded about the facility rules and warned about potential fines should there be any further incidents She apologized for the situation and stated that she planned on bringing in Mr*** to be added to her contract A short while later Mr*** called the office, claiming to be Mrs***’s husband and began cursing, yelling and making threats towards Starlite Storage personnelOffice personnel attempted to calm Mr*** down and explain the situation to him, but he would not listen and simply keep yelling and making threats He was then advised to have Mrs*** come and move her belongings out, as her Month to Month Lease would not be renewed On August 11, Mrs*** signed a move out notice and was given a copy of her eviction notice On August 23, Mrs*** moved out of her unit and was refunded her cleaning deposit and pro-rated rent; which she approved and signed for Please be assured that we try to do our best to maintain a clean, safe and secure facility for the benefit of all our tenants here at Starlite Storage and understand that when persons face difficulties and hardships in their life’s, they sometimes feel it necessary to lash out and blame someone else for those problemsWe truly hope that Mr*** situation improves and he is able to find peace Should you have any questions, please feel free to call our office Thank You Starlite Storage 451-

Complaint by: *** (***) ***
From: Starlite Storage.***lebanon, OR
We received a copy of the complaint filed by Mr*** and have reviewed it.Mr***'s brother (***) rented and paid for a unit for him (***) and moved***'s items into the
unit in February Of 2014; ***later came in and was added to thecontract and was given a copy of the contract and ourGeneral Rules and Guidelineswhich h~ reviewed, signed and agreed to
In June of Mr*** (***) added another unit 34-A to his contract, he movedout of unit 34-A in mid November of
At the time he submitted his written notice to move out of the unit andmeet with themaintenance person for the move out inspection (We also lent him a moving dolly andbroom at the time to help him during the move out process; the only issues was that hegave out his confidential security gate code to some helpers)
On November 6, Mr*** moved out of his unit with the help of two otherindividualsMaintenance had lent him a broom earlier in the day when they first camein and started moving items out of the unitHe let Mr***know he would beworking in the maintenance shop and to come get him when they had fini.shed cleaningout the unit so he could complete the move out inspection form for Mr*** to taketo the office (Mr*** was thankful for the use of the broom and made no referenceto any issues taking place; in fact he was very pleasant and friendly)
At approximately 2:pm one of the persons assisting Mr*** had returned thebroom to the office and dropped off his written move out noticeThe .office informedthe person to please have Mr*** meet the Maintenance person at the unit to completed his move out inspection, so that Mr*** could sign for any Cash refund he may be due
Mr*** then left the facility a few minutes later without meeting with themaintenance person and his move out inspection was not completed at that time
On December 8, we spoke with Mr*** and informed him that he needed tocomplete his move out inspection with the maintenance person so that we couldfinalize the move out of his unit and pick up any Cash refund that may be due
He made no mention at that time about having come to the facility and his code notworking; he even mentioned that he wanted to drop off some wine when he came in,but was informed we do not drink and thanked him anyways
There is also no record of anyone trying to enter the facility on the 7th or gth and notbeing able to access the gate
On December 13, after Mr*** had not returned to meet with theMaintenance personMaintenance inspected the unit a found that there was a largemostly dried up spill of a sticky I oily type substanceMaintenance cleaned up the spillwhich took quite a bit of time and two different types of solvents to remove the stainsfrom the concreteThe unit then had to be vented for over a week to allow the smelland vapors to dissipate
A copy of the Move out inspection report was then sent to Mr*** and unit C-waschanged from occupied to vacant (up until this time, Mr***'s gate code wasactive)
On-11-27-we received a nasty voice-message from Mr***-regarding theinspection report he receivedHis message contained several threats and offensivecomments related to our personal religious beliefs (message saved to file). We returned his call, but there was no answer, so we left a message for him to call usback at the office
On 11-30-we received another disturbing message from Mr*** (messagesaved to file) and again returned his call and left another message asking him to call usback at the office
A little while later we spoke with Mr*** and after letting him vent his frustrationsfor awhile, we tried to discuss the situation and resolve any concerns he may have had
We explained how difficult it was to clean and remove the stains from the concrete and if he had just followed the move out procedures and meet with the maintenance person(like he did when he moved out of his other unit) all of his misunderstandings regardingthis situation could have been avoided and resolved at that time
During the conversation Mr*** acknowledge seeing some kind of stain orsomething on the floor, but due to his situation he felt that he should not be heldresponsible for it, as "it should be considered wear and tear, like when you renta house" and felt by his moving out early in the month, the business should just absorbthe cost of cleaning up any mess left behind
Even after explaining the situation and letting him know that we sympathize with hissituation and financial problemsThe fact remains that we provided him with a clean, safe and secure unit to store his belonging in and simply asked that when he moved outof the unit, it be returned in the same clean condition
This is why we required a $cleaning deposit on his unit; which has been paid outfor the time and effort incurred in the cleanup of the unit
We had to explain to him several times that his cleaning deposit was only $for thisunit and his monthly rent was $
I also reminded him that we only rent units on a monthly basis, we do not rent by theday or week as was explained to him when he first rented his unit and is clearly listed inthe agreement he signed, and also on the postage signage in the office
This is in part, how we are able to offer much lower rates than other storage facilities inthe area
Please be assured that we try to do our best to maintain a clean, safe and secure facilityfor the benefit of all our tenants here at Starlite Storage and understand that whenpersons face difficulties and hardships in their life's, they sometimes feel it necessary tolash out and blame someone else for those problemsWe truly hope that Mr***situation improves and he is able to find peace

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
1.   Starlite Storage's response is a series of lies.  One of the most obvious lies in their last response is the fact that they have ignored the multiple conversations that had taken place prior to the complaint to the Revdex.com.  Note the file date to the Revdex.com of Sept. 28.  then note their claim that the conversations had taken place on the 29th of Sept.
2.  Although I had given a 10 day notice that to move out on Sept. 19, their own form requires a "walkthrough" of both parties prior to release, of the "cleaning deposit."  On the 24th I received a call by Starlite Storage in which I was informed that my cleaning deposit could be returned by US Post for a fee of the money order and gas to take it to the post office.   When I asked her how much those fees were she could not tell me.  I found this strange being that there policy is well posted that the customer must come in and get their cleaning deposit in person and that they do not mail.   Upon attempting to return to my unit on the 26th I found myself locked out of the security gate and denied access although I was paid up until the end of the month where the date and time was given in writing.  I never left my unit door open per their claim.  I confronted them about locking me out of the storage unit and I was called a "crackhead" by them.
3.   Starlite Storage is well aware of the reason for my complaint.  They double rented my unit, by locking me out and renting it to another, although I was paid in full to the end of the month and my written notice stated just that.  They are well aware of the fact that they continually ignore the law of double renting their units, thus illegally obtain double rent from two separate customers, while in reality only giving access to one.
4.  The Revdex.com has been given opportunity to hold Starlite Storage accountable presently.  If nothing is done by the Revdex.com,  my intent is to hire a lawyer, advertise in the local papers to notify others who are due compensation concerning Starlite Storage, and obtain compensation and accountability of Starlite Storage through a class action lawsuit.    I do not expect Starlite Storage to come clean presently, and I would be shocked if they actually made any attempt to do so.  They have obviously made a practice of taking advantage of their customers for a long extended period.    Starlite Storage is incapable of communicating without a mediator.  Sincerely,[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,We received a copy of the complaint filed by [redacted] and have reviewed it.Please be advised that Mr. [redacted] had displayed hostility and abusive behavior on more than one occasion while at the storage facility. The first incident occurred during his initial visit to rent a unit on...

December 29, 2017; Mr. [redacted] became upset and had an outburst of emotion after being informed, he would need to have a licensed driver, while driving on property; as he has no drives license.  He became so upset that he stormed out of the office in a huff, hollering and flailing his arms around while cursing (Surveillance cameras verified his actions: by Security). His girlfriend [redacted] remained in the office, apologizing for his behavior. She was informed that for liability reason, all persons driving on property must have a valid driver’s license. She then spoke to Mr. [redacted] who came back in and apologized for his behavior. After discussing the situation that had just occurred and going over our facilities guidelines, Mr. [redacted] said he was having a stressful day and was sorry for acting out and agreed to abide by the facilities guidelines. The second incident occurred when Mr. [redacted] came in on 1-19-18 to pay his rent for February. When Mr. [redacted] came in on the 19th with Ms. [redacted], he started acting in an abusive and hostile manner, raising his voice and being argumentative towards the staff regarding the prorated amount for the 3 additional days of rent in December. The staff tried several time to explain and answer him, but he started becoming very sarcastic and repeated himself over and over again. Ms. [redacted] had to tell him to “Stop and knock it off”. They were both informed that this type of behavior was not acceptable and maybe they should consider finding another storage facility, since Mr. [redacted] seemed unhappy renting here. Ms. [redacted] apologized again and said they had no place to go right now and just wanted to pay for another month. After some discussion with Ms. [redacted], the staff agreed to allow them an additional month to find another place to rent. Please be assured that we try to do our best to maintain a clean, safe and secure facility for the benefit of all our tenants and staff here at Starlite Storage and understand that when persons face difficulties and hardships in their life’s, they sometimes feel it necessary to lash out and blame someone else for those problems. We truly hope that Mr. [redacted]’s situation improves and he is able to find peace.Unfortunately Mr. [redacted]’s actions have caused concern for the safety and security of our staff and facility and as such we are no longer able to continue his renting at our facility and he has been asked to move out by the end of this month; as of this date the unit is still occupied.Should you have any questions, please feel free to call our office. Thank YouLeeStarlite Storage**COPY OF LETTER SENT TO TENANT** VIOLATION NOTICE From:  Starlite Storage             29875 Santiam Hwy.             Lebanon, OR 97355   Unit No: [redacted]   To:       [redacted] & [redacted]             [redacted]

October 5, 2015To:      Revdex.com Attn: [redacted] P.O. Box 1000 DuPont, WA 98327Re:       ID# [redacted]Complaint by: [redacted]From: Starlite Storage[redacted] Lebanon, OR 97355  Aloha,We...

received a copy of the complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] and have reviewed it.Mr. [redacted]'s complaint makes no sense and we are confused as to why he has filed the complaint at all[redacted] and [redacted] only rented a storage unit here for less the 2 months, when they initially came in to rent the unit on August 13, 2015 [redacted] was the one who had to complete the rental agreement as Mr. [redacted] was acting strangely and would babble on about subjects that had nothing to do with the rental. Mrs. [redacted] had to stop him several times and ask him to be quite so she could review and complete the forms. She did apologized to us for his actions; letting us know that he has some difficulties. We thought nothing more of it.On September 19, 2015 the [redacted]s' dropped off a written notice at the office, letting us know they intended to move out and vacate their unit.On Sept 25, 2015 it was noted that the [redacted]'s unit had been vacated, their lock had been removed and the roll up door was left in the open/up position. On Sept 27, 2015 Maintenance inspected and serviced the unit.A message was left for the [redacted]s' to stop by the office to pick up their cash deposit. On September 29, 2015 we spoke with Mr. [redacted] on the phone and let him know that he can stop by the office to pick up his cash deposit. Mr. [redacted] started acting strange and started to babble on incoherently about strange things and issues that had nothing to do with the rental of the unit. We asked to speak to Mrs. [redacted] but he refused and kept babbling on. We ended the conversation by again asking him to stop by the office to pick up his deposit. We attempted to contact Mrs. [redacted] but never heard back from her, so we simply sent a letter to the address on file, letting them know to stop by the office to pick up their cash deposit.P.O. Box [redacted]Foster, OR 97345As of this date we are still waiting for them to stop by to pick up their cash deposit. As far as his Security gate access numbers, it is their choice of what numbers to use (numbers they are able to remember). All of our units are rented on a month to month basis and the [redacted]s' were aware of this when they rented the unit. His old unit was not double rented; in fact it wasn't rented to a new tenant until this month (October). Please be assured that we try to do our best to maintain a clean, safe and secure facility for the benefit of all our tenants here at Starlite Storage.Should you have any questions, please feel free to call our office.Thank YouStarlite Storage [redacted]
