I hired Starving Students Movers Scheduled weeks in advance and clearly explained the scope of the work to Belen (bedroom house) I was given a morning/afternoon move option, so I picked p.msince it was convenient for me Fast-forward to the day of the move The movers showed up on a old beat up poorly painted bright yellow truck with graffiti on the back That was my first warning!! As the movers made their way out of it, the look on their faces was warning number two Their jaws dropped as if they were not expecting the size of the load Mind you, all my boxes were neatly piled with labels, plus furniture They asked to see what all was getting moved and proceeded to tell me that I needed to be aware that this was going to cost me, blah blah blah Already putting objections as in trying to dissuade me He didn't want to do the job!!! My original quote was $per hour He raised it to $because it was three movers Proceeded to SCOLD me because it was going to take up to hours because I wanted to make three stops all within a 9-mile radius Again, specified when I booked!! Blamed dispatch and said they don't know what they are doing or talking about because they are not out on the field He called dispatch and refused the work leaving me with no option Reynaldo the driver/lead was unbelievably rude and unprofessional And to make matters worse, was disrespectful and sassy with my elderly father when he tried to get answers All three gentlemen wore "FlatRate" blue shirts Possibly subcontractors but, nonetheless, they are working under the umbrella of Starving Students Movers and as such representing the company and providing less than substandard customer service At the end of the day, it was a blessing in disguise We rushed to rent a U-Haul for $and hired four day labourers from Home Depot and got the job done in under hours They wanted and needed the work and it was obvious in their performance

I ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY TO CALL POLICE MAKE REPORT FOR THEFT IF YOUR PROPERTY IS MISSING AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, TRANSPORTATION TO GET THEM OFF THE ROAD MY EXPERIENCE TOOK PLACE IN AND I STUMBLED ON THE RECENT REVIEWS OF STARVING STUDENTS MOVERS AND DISCOVERED THEY ARE STILL RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND ALLOWED TO DO SO BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FILE A COMPLAINT WITH STATE AND CALL POLICE THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND ARE GETTING AWAY WITH IT YEAR AFTER YEAR YOU WOULD NOT BE WRITING A BAD REVIEW OF THIS COMPANY IF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WOULD OF TAKEN THEM OFF THE ROAD YEARS AGO EVEN BEFORE MY EXPERIENCE THEY WERE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF BUT I DIDNT KNOW TO CHECK WITH THE Revdex.com UNTIL AFTER MY EXPERIENCE AND AT THAT TIME THERE WERE NEGATIVE REVIEWS SUCH AS MINE THEFT, LIES, MORE THEFT, OVERCHARGING ETC EVERYTHING THAT IS BEING CLAIMED IN CURENT REVIEWS WAS GOING ON OVER YEARS AGO PLEASE PREVENT OTHERS FROM THIS COMPANY AND FILE COMPLAINT WITH STATE AND POLICE COMPLAINT IF YOUR PROPERTY IS MISSING THEY ALWAYS GET YOU WITH THE a pound insuranceWHY WOULD YOU NEED INSURANCE IF YOU ARE GOING A SHORT DISTANCE?????
