Review: This contractor has not completed the work we have paid him to complete. The work on my pool and patio remain unfinished for almost a year beyond the completion date of June 10, 2013. This was not a date we chose; it was a date chosen by the contractor in response to our question in March of 2013, "Give us a reasonable date for completing the project." Also, at that time we told [redacted] that we no longer felt comfortable making our payments until we saw some work on our project. He told us he could not continue unless he had more "cash flow." Believing our job would be finished by July 10, 2013 we continued to pay. We paid and got minimal work near the time the next payment was due. We have not seen or had any contact from [redacted] Morrison,the contractor, sinceNovember, 2013. Starwood has been paid for incomplete work for almost a year. For example, the patio is not complete to the house, steps from the kitchen and dining room are not started (We jump down a few feet from the house to the patio). Electrical work has not been touched. Tiles have fallen off around the sides of the pool in numerous places. The drain at the bottom of the pool is off. The pool light is not connected. Parging on the backside of our wall is not started. The pool cover which was supposed to be installed last fall was a no show ("The pool covers are in. Not sure when we will be out," was the stock reply to our request for an installation date.). Our pool is full of debris from the winter, and continues to collect tree litter and pollen this spring. Landscaping in the front, back, and side yards remain disturbed and turn to mud pits in the spring rains. Construction materials are scattered and create an eyesore. These are the tip of the iceberg.I have called, left voice mail, sent texts, and emails ten business days in a row beginning May 5 through May 16. Each has been met with silence. This lack of response suggests that he has abandoned the job. This behavior has left me no recourse, but to contact you for a resolution.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have my job promptly completed. I want what I paid for, or I want to be reimbursed for another contractor to complete the work.
