I purchased a $gift certificate from Mels and a birthday card 12/28/at approximately 4:30-5:30pmThe birthday party was across the street at SelkirksThere were many presents, gift wrappings etcand it seems the gift certificate was accidentally thrown away, it's missingI contacted Mels and explained the story Sunday 1/22/about the incident as my daughter in law went in to make a purchase and was and still is unable to find the gift certificateI was told by the Mels employee that she is sure something could be done and they will look into the matter and get back to us the next day Monday 1/23/We waited then called before they closed and were told nothing could be done, the money is considered lostI explained the money was "lost" in their store and I can proved proof of purchase on the very day I said I bought the gift certificateThey have no way to trace their gift card transactionI explained there would be an extra $in their till but they will not look,
