Our records indicate that our investigating representative Mr *** *** left a voice message regarding unclaimed property for Mr *** *** at phone number (***) *** on April 03, around 1:pm (pst)Mr *** returned the call on April 7, around 3:30pm (pst)At this time Mr ***
explained to Mr *** that there was abandoned property from *** *** *** *** ***, (which Mr *** is the sole propreitor for) and the property is currently being held by the StateMr *** provided the email address of ***@hawaii.rr.com for Mr *** to forward a contract for service, to assist in the recovery of the property (please see attached)Mr *** signed the contract on on April 10, (the audit trail and IP address is provided in the attachment)On April 14, our claims assistant prepared and mailed a claim form for Mr *** to have notarized and mailed to the State Department of Budget & Finance (please see attached)Mr *** was clearly informed of the nature of the service being provided and the fee for services prior to signing the contractOur business ethics do not mislead consumers in regards to claiming abandoned propertyIn fact, we do not charge a fee for services until after the service is provided, and the consumer has recovered the propertyWe provide a valuable service to many consumers and businesses who are unaware of the abandoned property and may have never recovered the property without our assistanceWe have confirmed the property was ultimately recovered with our assistance and we provided Mr *** with an invoice for good, sound, ethical business practice, which Mr *** should honor(***_hawaii.rr.com)

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After reading their response, I acknowledge signing the form
However, I want to make the following comments:
I acknowledge talking with Mr*** but I also informed him that I was working with *** ** *** Kailua Branch, and initiated the recovery process with them on February 21, (see Exhibit 1)
This company claims to have assisted me in recovering the abandoned property by mailing the claim form(s) for me to have notarized and send the appropriate documentation back to them; but I never had the forms notarized nor returned to them for further processing with the State (see Exhibit 2)
On July 10, *** ** ***'s Legal & Custody Department confirmed they successfully recovered my "abandoned property" (see Exhibit 3)The bank's Legal & Custody Department on Friday, 7/18/14, also confirmed that they did not deal with this company in recovering my abandoned property nor have done any business with them in the past
The statement "We have confirmed the property was ultimately recovered with our assistance" is false; as no forms was ever returned to themFurthermore, *** ** ***'s Legal & Custody Department worked directly with the State to recover the abandoned property
Since I did not return their claim forms to recover the abandoned property how can they say that they assisted in recovering my propertyFor your information, the State of Hawaii Department of Budget and Finance Unclaimed Property website is available to the public and has a search mechanism to display current unclaimed properties (see Exhibit 4)Unclaimed properties previously shown one day and not shown the next business day have been recovered
Based on these findings, I'm willing to pay 50% of the $1,invoice amountSince I don't have softcopies of the exhibits I'm mailing the hardcopies to Revdex.com's attention
