We applied the new metal roof to the manufacturer's specificationsWe had an unusually harsh winter and many roofs had snow and ice accumulate on themBecause of all the snow on the roof, when it did melt off in large chunks, the snow and ice slid into the vent pipes and the roof vents that were
located lower on the roof.Because of the construction of this mobile home we were very limited as to how to deal with this problem We did return to the home and appled snow stops behind the pipes, to stop this from happening in the future.Metal roofs are the *** of roofs, and consumers put them on the roofs, so that the snow slides right offAgain, this was not a typical winter for us and we had records broken with the amount of snow we received

Regards, For starters, this is not a mobile home, It is a modular home, they are built as strong or stronger than a built in place home. This house had asphalt shingles when built and the positioning of the roof vents are fine for asphalt shingles in the lower portion of the roof, the snow doesn't slide, it melts in place. I have contacted several roofing company's that install metal roofing and asked the question about where the roof vents should be when installing a metal roof. Every company I talked to said that is common construction practice to move the vent pipes up close to the ridge so the snow doesn't move or brake the pipes. what else can I say. And yes we did have a lot of snow last year but The six leaks that I have had in my roof have been spread out over the years since the new roof was put on. This is going to be an on going situation until this roof is fixed. I will buy the piping and move the vent pipes myself, they just need to install the new roofing in the areas of the vents.
