customer decided to supply own parts for repair, subpar we had to do additional repairs on the outside of the door ,to make it suitable to refinish, the door was a lot less, than what the insurance company had found, in their parts search.so he saved cash , for himself, but lacked in quality the window regulator in the door, that he found moved a little slower than his other doors, he stated his old regulator worked better than the one that was in the door that he purchased, we took his old window regulator out of his old door, and put it in the door that he supplied to us, at no cost, for customer service.although we were not obligated to since he supplied his own substandered parts we did use his old handle though, because it had the key cylinder in itthe paint on it had a minor chip in it from the use of his keys we painted his mirror and put it on, he twisted the mirror to the fold position and found their was no paint under it, we took care of that for him .when he came to statestreet autobody to drop his car off, he left the car, we went out to move it and the keys were locked in the vechiclewe told the customer up and told him about the incident he apologized to us, and said the car had been doing that for awile.so if your going to supply your own parts, make sure they are good quality parts ,and preexisting problems with your vechicle are hard to get anybody to pay for especially the insurance company, although if you can prove they were part of the accident, the insurance company will pay for them, if not you are on the hook for the diognostics fee and any expensives that it takes to repair the problem, we at state street autobody have been in business for over years, and strive to give our customers the best customer service possible we have never had a complaint with the Revdex.com in all those years,

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: First of all I asked what kind of door State Street Auto Body was going to supply they informed me that they would locate one at a junkyard and then replace any damaged parts.  Which is what led me to ask if I were to supply my own door would they be able to use that and if any parts were damaged be able to replace just as they would have from the door that they got from the junkyard themselves.  They assured me that they would make sure that it was taken care of.   My doors lock automatically when the ignition is turned on which is why the keys got locked in the car because the tech was not paying attention to that detail it had/has nothing to do with the door that I supplied.  Also before even leaving them with the door that I purchased my wife asked them will this door be acceptable or do I need to find another door.  Their response was a door is a door.  As far a preparing the door they did not prepare the door for repainting the places that they had missed the first time showed no sign of primer also there is dust particles in the paint which would not be there if this was done correctly.  I would never have got my own door if they had not assured me that they would still do everything that was needed to be done and make sure that there were not any issues.  Part of the reason that I went to this shop to begin with was a time crunch I had to go out of town to say goodbye to my dying grandmother and the other two shops had at least a 2 week wait.  I only wanted my car to be fixed properly and in a timely manner.  Also the paint was not chipped due to the use of my key it was from the lack of care and prep work and it is also in more than one spot not just on the key cylinder/handle area and I also have pictures of everything. Sincerely,[redacted]
