Review: I assigned this Law Firm to do a loan modification for me. I gave them post dated checks for September, October and November for The amount of $1,133.00. Two of the checks were cashed and November check I decided to stop payment November for amount of $1,331.00,after calling my loan mortgage company. They had not hear anything from this law firm in two months of me going this Loan Modification. When I try to call this law firm it is impossible to get hold of a person to speak to. I try calling the Attorney, [redacted], at [redacted].I can not locate this attorney. This attorney was assigned by this Law Firm to represent me here in New York to do my Loan Modification. He did send me an email in which states that he will be handling my loan Modification and not to call him unless it was extremely necessary, but to deal with State Trust legal directly in California.I don't know how true this email was, but there was a warning Attached to it. I have dealt with some Accounting processors at the beginning of the process and I would like to give you their names, [redacted]-ext[redacted]4, [redacted] ext[redacted]4, and finally with Supervisor, [redacted]-ext[redacted]0 all at Telephone Number [redacted]. The reason why I am making this complaint is after verifying this with my mortgage loan company and not being able to get hold of accounting processors when I need answers. It leaves me to assume that have been Scammed out of my hard earn money and have fallen into a bad status with my Mortgage Loan Company. Please investigate this Law firm. There's no telling how many more people they have Scammed. Thank you for your time on this matter and hope I can get my back money that I gave in good faith for a job to done. I would like mention that the person that got me going with this Loan Modification his is [redacted] Main telephone [redacted] or [redacted]. Review: Cannot find status via email, fax, direct line, company line. This business has not returned any contact to update or to answer any questions that are sometimes time sensitive. Phone contact went from "mailbox full" to ringing endlessly.Desired Settlement: The desired settlement would be that they contact us and follow through on the services we hired them for. A full refund as they obviously have seemingly dropped out of all contact.

Homeowner was contacted in various occasions via written correspondence, phone calls, and email throughout the following months: October 2013, November 2013, and December 2013 in regards to the updated documentation that lender was requesting. December 30th, 2013 we sent client a Termination Of Engagement Letter, which states in part, “Good cause includes Client’s breach of this

agreement, Client’s refusal to cooperate with Attorney or to follow Attorney

advice on material matter.” Client contacted us on January 23rd, 2014 to inform us he is now ready to move forward, and wanted his file re-opened, in which at time we agreed to resubmit file, and get file to underwriter only. Homeowner was explained we would resubmit the file upon receiving the updated documentation, upon submission we will follow up with lender until verbal confirmation of the file being in active review with underwriter was given to us. It was explained to Homeowner once the file was in active review with the underwriter on behalf of lender we would not do anything else with the file. It was understood the file was NOT re-opened, and will remain closed. Per Homeowners original retainer, we had fulfilled our obligation and hold

zero liability. Homeowner was asked to provide updated documentation no later than February 5th, 2014 for the resubmission of the file. Homeowner provided the updated documentation to us on February 10th, 2014. Upon receiving the updated documentation, we once again processed the file, once again prepared the file for submission, and once again resubmitted the file to lender. We followed up with lender until the file went into active review with underwriting department on behalf of lender. On February 24tth, 2014 we received verbal confirmation from lender that file had gone into review with underwriter. Upon receiving this confirmation, we did contact client and inform Homeowner of the status of the file. We also reminded homeowner to continue to follow up with lender weekly until a decision was reached. The Homeowner, at that time, thanked us for our help, and was very appreciative of what we had done for him. File remained closed, as it was never opened after file being closed. Per Homeowners original retainer, we had fulfilled our obligation and hold zero liability. We did NOT enter into a new retainer with homeowner for the resubmission of his file.

Client was in constant communication with our law firm, from intake agent, processing department, to Processing Manager. Client did receive our retainers, and sent supporting documentation to us. Furthermore, we did prepare file for submission, submitted the file obtained a denial. File was again resubmitted, we DID NOT ENTER A NEW RETAINER, nor did we send homeowner and additional invoice for the services rendered. Client was informed of the status of the file throughout the entire process via phone, via email, and via correspondence. Client was also in contact with lender, and our point of contact.

Review: LOAN MODIFICATION. I paid State Trust Legal $3,000.00. In October 2013. They provided no Services. They avoided my phone calls, I left numerous messages. I didn't receive the Loan Modification, I was told if I paid the money,(3,000.00) I was guranteed the Loan. After I paid the money I didn't hear back from them. I called and called. I was desperate to get the Loan, because I was behind on my mortgage and that $3,000.00 I paid to them could have been used for my mortgage. I called and left some lengthy angry messages about my money.($3,000.00) I spoke to a [redacted]s a couple of times. Then finally I got an E-mail address of a Liz Gomez. When she respond the first time. She has only responded 2 times in all this time. I got pages of E-mail that I sent. I just want my hard earned money ($3,000.00) REFUNDED.

Review: State Trust Legal Representative misled me into believing they were going to get me a good refinance mortgage rate. I paid them a fee which she said I didn't have to continue to pay the bank in which I have the home loan with because the account would be suspended. ** and behold I received a bill for 2 months mortgage payments. I went to the bank to see if the account was actually suspended and the bank rep said the account was still active. No one from State Trust Legal has contacted them for anything. I've tried to contact State Trust Legal several times and cannot get passed the guard dogs on the phone. I need help ASAP Thank YouDesired Settlement: I want my money back

We have attempted to discuss file with client, and would like to finalize the loan modification process. However, client is not being cooperative with staff, which client refers to as "Guard Dogs". Despite of client breach of contract, we have not cancelled her file, nor have we terminated the file. After reading the response attached to this email, I know for a fact they they've gotten my cancellation request in which their email contract states I can do at any time, and as far as I'm concerned it just that, cancelled! Why is it until I contacted Revdex.com now all of a sudden State Trust Legal wanted to talk to me? Last conversation I had with one of the Guard Dogs she said that the money I gave them was the fee for the lawyers services. Before giving my money I was able to get through to that company with no problem. After taking my check I should have been able to speak to someone personally handling my case and not some little snit telling me everyone is to busy to talk to me. Why was it that is it that Bank of America say they were never contacted regarding my loan? Point and case then what services were ever rendered by State Trust Legal? Their original representative Olia Breck sold me dreams. She told me that I didn't have to pay Bank of America anymore money because the original loan was suspended. However the contract states I was supposed continue to pay it when I clearly asked her if I was still liable and she said no. This can keep going around and around but the bottom line is I've CANCELLED THE AGREEMENT and I want my money back for services that I never got.

Oh and another thing, what updated documentation? I never got any anything else from these people and why would I when I clearly said to terminate the whole thing. This is what I'm talking about. They want to do what they want to do and people are supposed to go along with it. They cannot force me into a situation I choose not to be in. I suggest they go reread their own contract which says the client can cancel at anytime. Give me back my money because nothing was ever done.

Review: On 10/23/13 I contacted State Trust Legal for a loan modification after receiving a payment review notice in the mail stating they could reduce our mortgage payment & provide us with a new rate. I was informed to send three post dated checks beginning 11/1/13 for 3 months in the amount of $1,233.00 each which I did. I received only a couple of calls after that. I would leave messages which were never returned. In the meantime, my checks were deposited in 3 separate locations. I started to get very nervous since I wasnot making mortgage payments. I told Mr. [redacted] when I agreed to have them help us I couldn't make a mortgage payment & pay them as well. He told me to tell my lender I'm going through a hardship. I paid a total amount of $3,700.00 for nothing!!!Desired Settlement: I would like my money back since services were not rendered. I feel this business is not legitimate!!

Review: My god-daughter [redacted] asked for assistance in paying for a mortgage loan modification. I sent a check for $1750. under my married joint bank account at Bank of America. When my cousin and I both called to see if anything had been paid on the loan modification besides what I sent there was no answer but a voice mail after the phone rang a long time on two different lines. Eventually, my cousin [redacted] was able to leave a voicemail that went unanswered. No answer to emails or phone calls from State Legal Trust paralegal [redacted] for the Law Office of [redacted] CA State Bar #[redacted], [redacted] phone ###-###-#### or ###-###-#### or [redacted]@statetrustlegalteam.com . That is different from the State Trust Legal address you have on file of [redacted] . Is this a bogus website of www.statetrustlegal.com? Why is there no answer? Have I been robbed? I sent a check on the Bank of America account for $1750. under my married name of [redacted]. What is going on? Do I need to file a police report and a complaint with the California Bar Association???? What is going on? Now [redacted] at [redacted] is not anwering the emails I have sent to her about this. Is this a scam? Have I been robbed? Her phone number is ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: I want a settlement refund of $1750. from this bogus outfit or a grand theft charge will be filed with the polic and misuse of the internet charges will be filed with the FCC.

I believe the check I sent for half the refinancing of [redacted] on behalf of owners [redacted] and [redacted] was obtained by a scam from a phony business that does not match the email, phone or address of the same named business at the Revdex.com. Therefore, I ask that the amount of $1750. be returned and the refinancing be ended unless the Ketchams pay for it themselves. I believe this was a scam to defraud the elderly and unless the $1750. is returned, I will file a police report to ask that fraud charges be filed against the business which appears to be bogus and the [redacted].

Review: State trust leagl and I had a contract for helping me to reduce/refiance my home loan with Bank of America (nationstar) and TCF bank ( for second loan) and according to the contract I pad $5,700/- (full paid by Oct. 04, 13 ). First they contacted Bank of America --now the loan is with nationstar ) and done some work and then sationstar sent all papers to me and done the work (not satisfied..not done as promised by sate trust legal) In feb.2014, I got a letter from State trust legal "' saying we discontuning the contact with u ) they don't done anything with TCF bank and once they got the full amount they donot done the work as per the contract. We were retained to obtain a loan workout. We did in deed represent this client with Bank of America when retained. Loan then was transferred to Nationstar Mortgage, and a trial loan modification was approved. It was explained to client all trial payments were to be made in full and in a timely manner to have the trial modification become a permanent loan modification. Per the file, and copy of the file, the retainer was only for the first mortgage. If client provides a retainer for the second loan, we will be more than glad to process the second mortgage. Review: In Oct of 2013 had entered into a contract with State Legal Trust for a Loan Modification of my mortgage sent them 3 checks for $1500.00 a piece total $4500.00. When I went to submit last of requested paperwork their fax machines and phones were disconnected.

I am requesting a full refund of my $4500.00 for all the time being spent with all the paperwork all the time lost and paying for services not delivered out $4500.00 and no modification.

State Legal Trust misrepresented me as the consumer.Desired Settlement: Finish the job they were paid for or full refund.

Consumer retained STL for modification services. Per the Retainer signed by Consumer, no representations were made by company in terms of any specific results, the Retainer set forth stages of work to be performed, at which time fees paid which had been placed into a trust account, would be earned. STL has submitted a Request for Modification Application (RMA) to the Consumer's Lender for review and consideration of modification, again no guarantee of results but STL doing its best on behalf of Consumer.

Review: I was sent information that would reduce my mortgage interest or reduce my principal. I contacted the company that sent this to me. They asked me questions about my mortgage and my finances and I was told that I was pre-approved but that someone would get in touch with me and let me know what the next steps were to be. I was contacted a few days later and was told that I would need to send some financial records to them and fill out some paperwork (i.e. go through an applicatiom process). I sent them the paperwork they requested and was contacted again and was told what their requirements were to do this process. They expected a payment of $3,995.00. This was to be paid over a 3 month period, but I had to send the checks all at once. The first payment was to be $1,500.00 and the second and third payments were each $1,247.50. They told me that when this was all completed I would save $600+ per month by reducing my interest rate to a fixed 3%. They told me that it would take about 3 months to go through the process, but they would update me along the way. And they did, until the end of December. They had just cashed the third check and I hadn't heard anything for awhile, so I thought I'd give them a call. No one answered the phone. The holidays came and I waited until the new year. Then, I sent emails and they were returned with "no such name" and all the phone numbers I had were disconnected numbers. I was also contacted by my mortgage company that they requiered additonal informatiom. State Trust Legal seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.Desired Settlement: Very simply said, I want my money back. All $3,995.00

Review: My name is [redacted], I am writing this complaint on behalf of my parents ( they don't know English)On or about August 2013, I replied to a mail offer regarding loan modification program. I was contacted by R. [redacted] via email and phone, we spent a lot of time on the phone and exchanged several emails explaining the process, in our case it was for 2 loan modifications. We agree to go ahead with the loan modifications, not before we paid $7k+ . After the contracts were signed, all documents requested were submitted via fax and money was paid via Fed Ex in form of a cashiers check, the communication started to get more and more vague. Emails, voice messages were replied weeks later if replied at all. In the midst of all this the mortgage companies calling non stop and sending us certified letters of foreclosure. January 2014 the first loan modification went through and our payments are now lower (not as much as we were quoted), but now the second loan modification its still pending. Last type of communication was on June 25th 2014 via email. Not to mention all the emails before that were kicked back to me due to the emails at State Legal Trust being no longer valid. This has turned into a real life nightmare! My parents are in their 70s and have chronic illness. PLEASE HELP US !!Desired Settlement: Receiving at least half of our money back would be significant to their almost non existing bank account, but we will settle for State Legal to meet their contract and basically finish the job on that second loan modification.

I sent in a responds on 2/20/14 that state trust legal only contacted me after I contacted Revdex.com. And it was on the. 20th of February that they told me that my modification was denied after they got a mail from you

Review: I entered into a contract with State Trust Legal in Newport Beach? Irvine, California? on or before November 21, 2013 for the purpose of Modifying my Home Loan with [redacted]. I post-dated 2 checks totaling $1,747.50 each. State Trust Legal cashed one of the checks on November 21, 2013. The other check is post-dated for December 21, 2013. Since our agreement, I have attempted many times to contact Personnel and/or the attorney of State Trust Legal, but only got a message. That being said, I have left several messages regarding my case. Because of my desperation to speak with someone in their office, I called the case manager on my case with the office numbers provided. I could not reach him either. It was only via his cell phone that I was able to contact him. He called their Processing Dept and requested that they call me. On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, I spoke with someone in Processing to inform them that I had not received documents that were promised via email. These documents I believe, needed my signature for processing. I was then referred to his supervisor. She informed me that work was being done on my case and that they indeed, had spoken with [redacted]. She said that she would send docs over for my signature. I told her that I would return the signed copies via email & fax. Prior to sending the signed and executed documents, I called to inform the supervisor that I was sending them. I could not reach her, or anyone in processing. Because of my concern, I contacted a HUD Counseling Representative and expressed my concern. We both contacted my Servicer and were informed that they had not received any correspondence or calls from State Trust Legal. I was then availed of my options. I am requesting a refund in the amount of $1,747.50 of the first check cashed. I have placed a stop payment on the 2nd check dated December 21, 2013 for the same amount. Time is of the essence to prevent foreclosure on my home. P.S.: Employees of this firm keep changing.Desired Settlement: I WANT STATE TRUST LEGAL TO REFUND MY $1,747.50 OF WHICH THEY HAVE CASHED. I MENTIONED TO THEM INITIALLY THAT I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS ILLEGAL FOR COMPANIES OR FIRMS TO TAKE MONEY UPFRONT WHEN IT IS OWED TO THE SERVICER OR MORTGAGE COMPANY. THEY CONVINCED ME THAT THE MONEY IS IN A CLIENT ACCOUNT WITH MY NAME ON IT. IN THIS CASE, PLEASE REFUND IT BACK TO ME. THE JOB WAS NOT DONE AND DID NOT SEEM TO BE INITIATED.
