State Van Rental

My worst car rental ever. Unsafe vans.
The first van (with 107K miles) they gave me had the "low air" tire warning. They said this is just a bad sensor; tires have been fully inflated. After driving a few miles, the engine service light comes on. I plugged in my "ODBII car connector", which showed a "major" issue. It was too late to change the car, so I couldn't leave for my trip as expected. In the morning, I stop at [redacted]. The diagnostic: Exhaust issues. "Sir, if I were you I wouldn't drive this car at all". Followed by a "we inflated the tires, they were really low" (the low air warning disappeared).
I drove back to the office and got a new van. I hurried to catch up on the 16 hour late start. The door opener did not work; the clock/radio turned off intermittently; brakes felt very soft; oil change warning sign turned on after 100 miles. The van had 115K miles.
Beyond a waste of time and money, I am very concerned with the safety of these cars.
