Staten Island University Hospital

Review: On 2/*/13 I was admitted to the ER of North Shore Staten Island University hospital. I was there for severe pain on my side around the stomach. I was in severe pain and the hospital failed to accommodate or comfort me. I was waiting for two hours before the doctor even came up to me. In the attempt to provide me with an IV both my arms had large [redacted] because the nurses were incompetent in finding a vein and twice the needle slipped out and started to pour directly under my skin. After 8 hours in the ER it was finally determined that I had a [redacted].

I was still in severe pain because the pain medication they gave me orally I couldn't keep down, and the IV was never finished. This was a terrible experience and completely lacked professionalism. Since then I have been harassed eventhought the original bill was $4,284.84 my insurance covered $4,657.45, which is $372.61 more then billed amount. Somehow my account balance is still $230.53.

I make payments monthly of $10 however when the new bills come the $10 amount is never taken off.

They call my house twice a day and send me non stop bills.

Their customer service was atrocious, it was neglecting, and not professional. They charged thousands of dollars for a mediocre service and have the audacity to harass me on the daily basis.Desired Settlement: They need to re calculate my account balance, I will not pay anymore money until all my payments are reflected.
