I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
The check amount of $does not cover the losses and damages per our filed notarized and acknowledged claim for $7,($5,in missing items plus $1,for repairs)Check will not be cashed and will be returned to Roadrunner via signature required *** *** ***.
Regards,

This claim was settled at the contracted limit of liability of sixty cents per pound per article. Attached to this response is a copy of the storage contract and the bill of lading for the delivery, both of which include a release liability of $per pound/article. Roadrunner is not prepared to offer any settlement above our contracted liability

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
The warehouse receipt is neither signed by Roadrunner nor dated and calls into question the legitimacy of the agreement. We stand firm with our claim as stated.
Regards,
[redacted]

Roadrunner honored their claim commitment to Mr. [redacted] to the full extent of Roadrunner’s liability, including both damaged items and missing items. Per Mr. [redacted]’s storage contract with Roadrunner and his Bill of Lading contract on the delivery of his household goods, Roadrunner’s...

liability is limited to $.60 per pound per article. When Mr. [redacted] filed his claim, he provided the weights of each claimed item, and Roadrunner issued Mr. [redacted] Check # [redacted] in the amount of $237.60 which was based on these weights at $.60 per pound.
In regards to response times, Roadrunner mailed a claim acknowledgment letter to Mr. [redacted] within 20 days of receipt of his claim. After this letter was mailed Roadrunner made multiple attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] in order to conduct an inspection of the claim items. Roadrunner also performed a trace audit of Mr. [redacted]’s storage to ensure the missing items were not still in our warehouse. After multiple attempts to contact Mr. [redacted] via a telephone number Mr. [redacted] provided and with me not receiving a response from Mr. [redacted], I mailed Mr. [redacted] a letter on February 7, 2014 asking him to contact me. We finally connected and I performed an inspection of the claim items on February 27, 2014. On April 29, 2014 we issued the settlement payment, and I have not heard from Mr. [redacted] since that payment was mailed out. The resolution of this claim took longer than average, but I account most of the delays to communication issues between Mr. [redacted] and myself.
At the end of the day, Roadrunner paid Mr. [redacted] the full amount of our liability, and we are not in a position to offer any additional settlement amount.
Best regards,
[redacted]

Per my previous response, the replacement check was sent via [redacted], and there was no one to accept delivery.  The letter is at the post office, and I advised [redacted] of this fact.  Per an e-mail from [redacted], he will be picking up the check from the post office.
