Staygreen Synthetic Turf Products Reviews (3)

Review: I have contacted [redacted] several times for a warranty issue regarding the install he did last August. I have been contacting him since June, only to be put off stating he would call me back. I even sent him a text with a picture showing him the issue. I have not heard back. The lawn is shrinking, has discolored and now is growing weeds all throughout the turf. His new address is 1939 Claremont Road, Carmichael Ca. If he is no longer in business I need to know who bought the business so they can stand behind the warranty and resolve this issue. Attached are pictures of my turf.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full replacement or refund in the amount of $2790.00 in which I paid him.

Review: [redacted] the owner of Stay green Synthetic Turf Product install my synthetic putting green and turf area. The install for the putting green is not smooth but is bumpy with dip holes through out the green and the turf area has bumpy spot with rock protruding through the turf area.[redacted] also said that the product use was made int the United State only to find out it was made in china.Desired Settlement: I would like the prep work for the synthetic turf and putting green to be redone removing the bumpy hilly spot through the project.

Response:

My company installed approx. 800 sq. ft. of lawn grass and approx. 350 sq. ft. of putting green turf for [redacted] is a licensed landscape contractor and did all of the excavation and brought in the road base material and compacted it. My company came in and did a final grade and raking of the base and installed the lawn grass. [redacted] had brought in the road base for the putting green and we brought in the DG and did the final raking and grading for the putting green. I believe the putting green area was approx. 12' x 30'. [redacted] wanted some movement in the putts, ie:left to right and right to left putts. In a small flat area (which 350 sq. ft. is a small area) the only way to get some movement is to put some gentle mounds in the base when we do the finish grade in order for the ball to move left to right and right to left. We did this and he has some great putts. He was complaining to me that when he putts a certain direction over one of the mounds that the ball jumps. I went to his home with my crew and checked out his green. I putted many putts on the green and he has 95% great putts. The ball was rolling great. I could see what he was talking about when I rolled a putt over one of the small mounds. We attempted to make it better by rolling it some more with our heavy roller and brooming in more sand. I believe we did make it a little better. This is the normal fix for greens that are rolling rough. A couple of days later he called again with the same complaint. I again took my crew back out to his home and this time we took our vibratory plate compactor and went over the putting green in hopes of smoothing it out some. I thought that it helped some but [redacted] didn't think so. He wants me to pull the turf back so he can do the final grade himself and then have me lay the turf back down. I told him that I would do that but if he changes the undulations very much the holes that are cut into the turf won't line up with the cups when we lay the turf back down. I told him that if he is willing to buy another piece of turf I would do that for him. He said that he wasn't willing to buy another piece of turf. So this is where we stand. [redacted] paid $6750 for the entire yard and putting green. Normal price would be between $10,000.00 $12,000.00. Since [redacted] was doing the excavation and base material and the promise of more work we reduced it to the $6750.00 I told [redacted] my lawn grass was made in America and it is made in Georgia. The subject of where the putting green turf is made never came up. [redacted] deserves to have a putting green that putts good, I believe he has that. I don't believe [redacted] has a complaint, He has a putting green that rolls 95% pure.

Review: There are several reasons why this has got to this point where I had to notify the Revdex.com. When the owner [redacted] came out to my house in April, we discussed the plans to install a putting green and a small patch of turf in my backyard. He told me how he would install the turf and the putting green. We even went over with a spray can on how the install would look. We set a date in May & then he called me the day before to push it back a week. On the 21st, [redacted] and his crew installed the putting green and the small path of turf in my backyard. I was not there for the install as I was working. When I got home, the turf was completed and I paid [redacted]. [redacted] informed me that two of the flag-sticks had broken top handles, so he already ordered them and they would arrive on the 27th of May in the mail. Since it was at night, I really didn't have time to inspect it. The following day, I notice that the putting green was not done per our design in April. In addition, the small patch of turf had a seem in the middle and not on the towards the edge as I was informed. Also, the putting green fringe had numerous jagged cuts looked not natural. Since it was the holiday weekend, I waited till the following week to contact [redacted] since I never did receive the flag-stick tops as promised on the 27th. I have left a couple of messages and have yet to get a response from [redacted] or anyone from his company. The impression I have is that [redacted] installed the turf his way and not as promised. I also believe to try to cut corners by seeming the turf in the middle and not towards the end as promised. [redacted] needs to address this as he was paid in full! Thanks [redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like [redacted] to come out to the house and take a look at the job and address the issues. Also need my two flag-stick tops.

Response:

The owner [redacted] just contacted me and stated he would come over to my house to go over my complaints on Sat the 14th. The owner seemed combative & also put the blame the install team. In addition, he stated that he dropped his cell phone in the toilet. This was the reason why he didnt contact me....interesting it works now after Revdex.com has contacted him.

I will keep you posted.
