Review: While my Mother was in the hospital, I contracted with Extreme Clean of La Mesa (based on their internet ratings) to clean the carpet in her home.. Without my permission, they (Extreme Clean)subcontracted my cleaning contract to Steam N Clean. I thought at the time that it was very unprofessional and I was not happy that I had not been consulted..The young man from SNC insisted that he would do a good job, so I let him go ahead clean the carpet. It was a HUGE mistake on my part.

He told me that it would take about 4 hours to dry and it took 4 days; we had to bring in a dehumidifier machine.

My Mother came home two weeks later under Hospice care and sadly passed away. Not even a month after the carpets had been cleaned, they looked worse than before they had been cleaned!

I made several calls to SNC asking to speak with the manager. When I finally spoke to him, he said he would look into it and call me back. It never happened. Then I got a call from the young man who had cleaned the carpet and I explained what the carpet looked like and that I wanted a refund. He said he would speak to his manager and get back to me...never happened. I made several calls to him and got no reply. I called the office again today and spoke with the manager. He said that he would not give me a refund, but that they would reclean the carplet. I told him that I did not want his worker nor his inferior equipment in my mother's house again.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund so I can hire a decent carpet cleaning company to undo the awful job that SNC did.

Review: My wife and I hiredaccompanied by the name of steam and clean also doing business as steem and green. we hired them to come and steam clean or deep clean 3 sofas and a center table. The company came and cleaned sofas. The work was nor as promised we got charged 300.00 dollars for the service. The complete service didn't even take one hours and a half. The sofas were still stained at the end. You can see the dirt stain still. The technician by the name of [redacted] said the sofas were stained and could not do anything better. These sofas were only dirt stained. we had them in storage for 5 moths. We have a warranty plan from Ashley Furniture and Ashley sent a tech and the tech said sofas were not cleaned at all. The stains came off with a rag and water with soap. We contacted the company steam and clean again and they sent the same tech to come and repair evaluate the service. The tech said he cannot do anything else and to contact manager. At the time we wanted to contact manager. The person's at the office blocked our number .. and the service dispatcher keeps giving us runaround and hangs up and claims they will contact us back. Review: A young man came to my home to clean my carpet that had a urine stain. I had removed all the items from the studio apartment on my own in order to protect my belongings, and so proceeding quickly with the cleaning. As quoted on the phone, the price was set at 59 dollars. When the young man arrived, he told me that my carpet would need extra sanitizer to remove the bacteria and relieve the smell. The new price would be 120 dollars. I never argued, I just wanted the smell gone, and told him I would return with cash, as he told me his credit card machine was stolen. He said to return in 45 minutes. I told him I would be one block away getting coffee, and to take some cash from the bank.

I received a call 50 minutes later by the young man letting me know that he was removing his equipment from the premise and would be waiting. I arrived back to the studio and immediately began inspecting the carpet, the smell, and the stained spots. The product looked good; the smells were masked, and the dark areas were back to soft brown. I did a quick scan of the other two rooms, and went downstairs to find the young man. He was sitting on the edge of his van writing up the paperwork, then asked me for the 120 dollars. I handed him 135 dollars, and thanked him for the work. He was gone.

I returned upstairs and with little room to move, began unpacking the small items that could be put away. That is when I noticed that the remote control to the television was on the floor, not where I had left it. I picked it up, and began to inspect the television, and saw that the screen had been badly scratched from one side of the screen to the other. I then immediately called the original number I had to set the cleaning appointment. The same lady answered the phone as had the previous day. I let her know of the happenings to the television, and she let me know she would have the young man contact me. He did so, and denied any knowledge of the happenings, and said that he never went near the television. As well, said his instruments could not reach the television, just 2 feet from the edge of the carpet ending; this is a small studio apartment.

I called the lady back and asked her to speak to a person in charge of mishaps in her company. She assured me that a supervisor would be in contact. The young man called me once again. He asked why I was pressing the complaint, as he did not scratch the television. Again, I hung up the phone and called the lady once more. She again assured me that a supervisor would be in contact. I then receive a call from a man who spoke with broken English. I asked him if he was in charge of accidents and claims, and he said no, that he was in charge of the young man, and that the young man stated he was innocent of the scratch. I then went back and forth with him in circles of defense until I began to raise my voice. I let him know that this matter would be addressed formally, or I would continue to call his office until it was. He then, also in a loud voice, told me that I would not continue to call the office, and that if I did not allow the young man to handle the situation today, that it would not be pressed. I wondered how this young man would fix things, what could he do? The man said the young man would be returning to my home shortly.

The young man arrived about an hour later. He very kindly removed his shoes, and entered my home. He came into the kitchen to see the television, and was shocked at what he saw. He proceeded to take a picture of the scratch and as he asked me, "Does your T.V. always sit on a slant, like that?" I said, "Yes, it does. It makes watching it easier on the eyes." I knew then he had bumped the table, and the television had toppled over. He continued to deny the allegations, told me to have a nice day, and put his shoes on and walked away.

I called the lady one last time to ask for her address, I needed it to make a formal complaint. She told me not to write about this, that a true supervisor would be in contact with me. I am yet to hear from anyone at the company.

On a side note, it has been three days, and I wake up every morning to the smell of urine.Desired Settlement: I would find solace in knowing that this company does not get away with this sort of coincidence often, or again. I want the company to know that they need to take responsibility for their accidents. I want them to realize that there is a contract between two parties, and they need to honor that contract. I would like them to offer to repair the scratches on the television. I would like this company to not send offended customers through a ring of phone calls before, if ever speaking with someone in charge. If nothing else, I would like an apology.
