To Whom it May Concern,I am responding to the letter received in your office on February 4th, regarding my complaint against Steam Specialists, LLC regarding work they performed on March 26, 2015.called the office of Steam Specialist to have my fill valve and relief valve replaced ONLYwas told "Oh yes, you need this part and it will only take about two hours".In the letter recieved on 2/4/16, it states:Leaks were found in heat lines and copper fittings - Since the day moved into my home, have NEVER once had any of my heat lines leak nor did any of the copper fittings.Bad Expansion tank - No, my expansion tank was not bad and it did not need replaced1f that was the case, then why is my "old" expansion tank still currently connected and in use? was told by another technician that brought into repair the faulty work that WaS done by Steam Specialist that NO I did not need a "new" expansion tank installed.Boiler pulsating on & off- This also was not happeningMy boiler was running fine with the exception that needed the fill valve and relief valve replaced ONLY.Boiler last cleaned - by us - How do they know this? I may have had someone else come and clean it for me since You are just assumingJust like they assumed my boiler was years old and they were trying to condemn everything about it when in fact, my boiler is ONLY years old right now.Again, I stress that my expansion tank was not badI did not have one bad heat line after1.anotherI wish the technician would have just walked awayHe caused water to leak all over the place and a huge disasterAlong with causing water to run all over the place and create such a mess, he allowed water to run all over my circuator pump causing it to short out and destroy itI have a witness to this, and also had to hire another technician from another company tO come replace my circulator pump with a new oneThis cost me another $had no heat from March 26, through October, and had to use portable electric heaters to heat my houseHe affirmed for me that the other one went bad due to excess water damage from Steam SpecialtiesThere were NO leaks anywhere until Steam Specialties showed up to repair my fill valve and relief valveThey also had no business whatsoever of having to go into my Sons room to trace a copper line in which they ran into by causing this fiasco that they didBy the way, yes, this room is being used as well.was NEVER notified by Steam Specialties that the technician ran into issues (of which they created) and that they were going to be there more than hours and attempt to replace aS much of my boiler system that they could and then charge mean outragious bill for unneccessary repairs that were not neededDid I mention that I came home to NO HEATP Oh yes, had perfectly working heat BEFORE Steam Specialties came to my house, but that ended when they showed upThey took a small repair and made my situation worse than it wasbefore leven called themYes, it was degrees out, and they left me with NO HEAT.The technician did meet with us to explain what mess he had created, and it was a mess! Everything was not okI was very upset that he was at my house all day and NEVER called As of this time had not turned my thermostat up for my heat to kick on, nor did it kick on at any time when the technician was still thereWhen he left, turned mythermostat up and the circulator pump shorted out my breakerIt was not producing heat through my housecalled Steam Specialties back againThe technician (a different guy) that came, told me my circulator pump was badThat seemed strange to me because it worked fine prior to that day when Steam Specialties dumped water all overI was told this would cost me another $I refused to let them touch it again, nor was going to pay for something that they ruined tO begin with Attached is a copy of my bill had to pay to get my circulator pump replaced b? another company ($165.00).Again, these additional repairs were NOT needed and Steam Specialties left me in a NO HEAT situationAt least had heat before I called themI should have never called themThat will be the last time they ever do any repairs (damages) for me.Collette kept telling me to call *** for helpI wouldn't have needed the help if they wouldn't have messed everything upI know that would not qualify for any of their programseitherI'm appalled that she would degrade me by assuming that I couldn't afford the repairs.told her felt that should not have to pay the full bill because was never notified of the other issuesThey never called me to get the approval to replace any other parts or to notify2me in any wayThe only way I knew the technician was still there at 12:pm is because my son was home and he texted me about him being thereHe didn't leave my house until 4:that afternoon, again Steam Specialties never called meI told her that would pay for the parts that I called about (the fill valve and relief valve and that I would pay for hrs of labor)She did say to pay what you want but they would never comebackI said "Do you really think would ever call you again? NO" paid $towards the billI feel this is sufficient enough for what they were only supposed to doThey are lucky they even got that much.was told by my local representatives office that I shouldn't pay a dimeAnother technician from a very reputible company told me that Steam Specialties should be paying meThen Collette has the nerve to send me a letter threatening to take my to court if I dont pay the balanceThe balance is yoursI didn't ask for the additional repairs nor were they needed. My male friend that had hired them to work on his heating system is my fiance' and they did his repairs prior to working on mineGuess what? He saw what they did to me, and he will no longer be calling them for ANY repairs in the future eitherThat's irrelevant to my situation anyhow.don't care that they received letters from satisfied customers this yearAgain, irrelevant tO my situationWhat about the many many people that I talked to that were not satisfied customers? I know they had unhappy customers, it's just that none of them took their dissatisfaction to the level that I have. They say,"had these repairs not been done, would have not come home to a heated house"? WellDiD NOT come home to a heated house I had NO HEAT at all.I can only recall having Steam Specialties at my house for a cleaning one other time (in 2012) even though they show invoicesThey are showing one for and stating that needed a valve replaced at that timeThat seems a little strange to me when at that time my boiler system was only years oldIf I needed that part replaced back then, it's funny how it lasted and worked perfectly fine for more years thereafter.Again, they said my boiler is years old, when in fact it is only years old as of They tried to condemn my whole system just so they can fraudulently replace parts that are not bad or in need of being replaced.Yes, I agree this did turn out to be a fiasco for me, but only because Steam Specialties caused it to beI did not wait too long for repairsI didnt have repairs that needed to be done except for my fill valve and relief valve at the time that called in Marcheven had another technician diagnosis this prior to me calling youHe said that was all that needed to be doneHe also has years experience and works for a much bigger company than Steam SpecialistI just couldn't get him to make the repairs at that time because he moved out of the area to pursue his job.My total bill was for $and was charged for hours of laborpaid $of the bill (which feel covers the parts that called for and hours of labor) and I am disputing theremaining balance of $as feel should not be held responsible for charges that I did not approve or agree toThese were for repairs that were not needed and no phone call or communication was made to me prior to this being done. The whole problem is that I WAS NOT NOTIFIED and YOU left me with NO HEATSincerely,*** ***
