These people call all the time, never leave a message and have not answered calls back to themI think they are scam artist

I went through a high-risk pregnancy last year and my son was born a month early, resulting in a long hospital stayAll this happened right after I lost my health insurance, and the hospital and obstetrician have been billing me ever sinceI'm making modest monthly payments to bothEvidently, I also incurred a radiologist's bill and a gynecologist's bill, but I only received statements in the mail from the former twoAargon Agency began calling me daily and telling me I was not making payments to MUSC (the hospital)I explained that I was indeed making paymentsI called the hospital and confirmed that I was making payments(I still was not told about the bills I hadn't received.) I also didn't receive any mail from AargonAfter three months of them calling to ask why I still hadn't paid, I was finally able to establish that they were talking about a different bill entirely, one I had never receivedI said that I would be glad to pay the bill, but that the company needed to mail me a copy of itThis is when the "customer service representative" at Aargon began to speak rudely to meHe barked that I had not paid the bill and that's why I was on the phone with him in the first placeI repeated that I needed to be sent a copy of the billHe actually shouted, "The collection notice is the bill!" I said I hadn't gotten one of those, either, only phone calls, and iterated that I would pay the bill as soon as I received itHe interrupted me several times as I tried to speak and kept saying things like, "I'm going to explain this to you one more time, Ma'am," in a loud, condescending voiceFinally, my baby could tell that I was getting upset and began to fussI said, "Look, today is my birthday, and I have a fussy baby to deal with over hereJust send me the bill and I'll pay it," but he hung up on me before I could finish(Great way to extract money from a person in debt.)

I called this company and was able to speak with the head compliance officer Mr*** who was very professional, courteous and gave me the attention and respect I deserved I actually felt someone was listening to me and he did exactly what he said he would do Of course I still owed the debt, I didn't even know about and I still had to work out a way to do it, but working with him was much better then having to talk to the collections people I say if you have a problem or concern call him first before having to go through all the trouble of filing a complaint or explaining yourself 10,times if you have a problem that's the guy to fix it

I was unaware that I had accounts in collections with this companyI found out via my credit reportI recognized one account as being paid via my tax return, but not the otherI called the company after looking them up on the internetThe representative *** was courteous and helpful with giving me information concerning my second account that I was not aware ofShe even waved the fee to process my paymentI was instructed on how to send my proof of payment and even given a website to where I could go to retrieve my paid out information

This [redacted] called me and was extremely rude and tried to rehash how I came to incur this debt and that I needed to pay. Told I was but they never sent me a letter with the mailing address and information and he began saying "oh do you think the mailman threw it in the trash". etc He needs to be fired and that agency needs to be shut down. He is a [redacted].

I've cleaned up everything on my credit this year but one last debt for 1,381.00. I have a screen shot of this debt from my credit check total account. I called to find out what my options were and a very aggressive man began to tell me if I didn't pay x amount right then and there I would lose the ability to settle for less than the debt amount.

I told him to calm down and reminded him that I CALLED YOU and not the other way around. No resolution and we hung up.
Now the amount has jumped to 1,505.00. This is an old dentist bill and not a debt that can be increased. It had been the same for years. I can't say what happened but the timing (a month after the scathing agent conversation) is very suspect.

My guess is this is an illegal increase in my debt and as I have the credit monitoring account which archives, proving this was done on the same account with no added information.
Since calling was such a horrible experience the first time my only option is to get a third party (attorney) involved.

Sad. I paid off all other debts with no problems or hostilities. They were not only extremely rude but are trying to cheat me. Nice. Or should I say nice try.

I called Aargon after finding some very old medical mills that had been sent to collections with them. The agent I spoke with was polite and courteous, but did ask if I planned to do anything with the bills. I said I could pay the 3 smaller ones, but not the larger one at this time. He came back with a settlement offer that saved me almost $300 off the total, and said that it would report to my credit as settled paid in full. He also waived the fee to use my credit card.
