Steamex Carpet Cleaning

Review: in late july 2013, we incurred water damage to our area carpets as a result of an upstairs bathroom malfunction. we called this supposed company to clean 2 area carpets. the carpets were inspected, a price was agreed to, and the carpets were removed with an agreed to return date. the carpets were returned several weeks later as agreed to. the rep.([redacted]) delivered them and placed them off the ground in a storage shed connected to the garage. the area is dry, as witnessed by the rep. the carpets were rapped in paper by [redacted], and stored approx. 3 feet off the ground. I did not unwrap the carpet at that time. assuming work was done properly, and we were not ready to put them back in place at that time. I paid 214.00 at the time of delivery. several weeks later, I opened one of the carpets to put in place in the house. the bottom of this particular carpet was covered with black mold. I immediately re wrapped the carpet and called the company. [redacted] came out a few days later. he inspected the one carpet. commented that it was indeed moldy. could not give an explanation as to why. but did confirm with me that my shed was indeed dry. and the paper the rug was wrapped in was also dry, with no sign of wetness or water visible on the paper. I asked him to take both carpets and re-clean, which he said he would. the real problem starts there. with many excuses for delays. from taking longer than thought to do job, to stains not coming out, to getting advice from other companies, to bad weather , to getting sick, to getting better and will bring back just before the past holiday. I have no carpet returned. 1 was returned at one point and seems ok. other carpet is not here. I have said I would accept the value of the carpet of 200.00. this was agreed to by [redacted] at one point. and I was told he would return carpet and refund the 200.00. this has not happened. I have his txts with all the excuses, and nonsense and promises, including the one agreeing to a 200.00 refund.Desired Settlement: 5 months and still no carpet or refund. the obvious outcome is to have carpet returned and a 200. 00 refund to replace it.

Review: My vehicle had minor flooding. I called steamex and they cleaned the carpet and told me to leave windows open got the rest of the day. I left the windows open for two days and there is a smell still in my vehicle. I called steamex and they came by and sprayed a deoderizer then left. The smell still remains and I called a week ago and was advised someone would contact me back and no one has. I have a newborn so I can't put him in car with that smell. I'm going to have to get my carpet steamed again because this company did not do a good job.Desired Settlement: I either would like a refund so I can get carpet cleaned again or for the company to clean the carpet again
