*** See Attached *** To the Revdex.com, This is in response to the complaint filed by Mr*** *** who is requesting reimbursement for a $feeThis fee represents additional out out-of-pocket costs the bank incurred to process Mr***'s approved loan request he
subsequently withdrew prior to the closing date.Stearns Bank is refunding the fee out of courtesy and gesture of goodwill even though Mr*** signed a General Terms document agreeing to pay additional out-of-pocket costs beyond the $2,non-refundable due diligence fee

I am rejecting this response because:
In regards to Stearns Bank refunding the $373, I accept that mitigation and appreciate the credit.  I am in receipt of the funds, thank you.My rejection of their response is for 2 reasons:1)  The primary issue was they refused to release a hold and assignment they had on my life insurance policy and my Landlord lease.  Both things they had absolutely no right to refuse as I, the consumer, requested they be taken off as I wanted to pursue a different bank for closing.  They completely ignore this in their research of the issue and response to me online and I believe should be emphasized as it illustrates low integrity and unethical business practices.2) Their response that we signed an open ended reimbursement of bank expenses is not true (in my opinion) and at the heart of the $373 dispute.  I showed them the letter that my wife and I signed which agreed that the $2500 "...due diligence fee is non refundable and will pay the Bank's costs and expenses..."  They charged us this $373 above the $2500 SBA loan deposit.  At no time did they show us that they had $2873 in expenses related to our loan.  They brought this up only when we asked for them to release my life insurance and lease assignments.
