My husband, John S was on call for the NJ State Police on 6/16/16, when he received a call from NJ State Police to respond to an accidentWhile he was loading the *** vehicle, he received another call from the State Police dispatch, for a vehicle break down on ** ** at mile marker
He is not required to deliver a vehicle to a specific location, he is on a service call requested by the NJSPAs he was leaving the accident scene with the vehicle loaded on the flatbed, AND the name STECKEL'S and the phone number on both doors of the truck, he signaled to the St Trooper at the scene, that he was leavingWe are called to do a job, not stay with the owner of the vehicle. If there was an issue with removing the vehicle, the St Trooper would have stopped himAlso, by delivering the vehicle to our location, allows the Insurance Company adjuster after the owner calls to report the accident, to as the damage, pay the towing and storage feesSteckel's Inc, has been responding to NJSP calls since

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
After speaking with a State Trooper officer at the *** police station, I've learned that the tool company must take the car to the shop requested by the car's owner, the only reason they would take back to their shop, is if the owner doesn't have a shop to take his car. Also, I believe if I am paying for my car to be tolled, I have the right to have it taken to the location of my desire, the driver should take into consideration, that he was answering the call for my car, and any other emergency call, would have to wait the completion of my call, in responding to the other call without finishing my service, he added to me all of the extras charges incurred with my car being dropped at his shop. As far as having numbers of his shop on both doors of his car, it does not gives him the right of not giving my wife all of the information pertaining to his shop, it is not my fault if the driver only took into consideration the amount of more money that he was going to make rushing to another call. I've had cars tooled beforeand never before had anything like this happened to me, I should be reimbursed for the total amount of what I paid, because this a paid service, and as the costumer, I have the right to have my car tolled to the location that I wish, As far of the state trooper, he stayed in his car and did not interfere with anything that was going on. I am trying to resolve this situation without going to any legal instances, but if required, I am ready to do so
Regards,

On Wednesday evening I felt I had no choice but to file a complaint against Steckel’s Inclocated in Belvidere, NJ. My wife and I met with the owner of the business Thursday, late afternoon, and reached an agreementThe issue has been resolved to my
satisfaction. The resolution was very close to what I had hoped would happenAfter sitting down with the owner, we were able to work things out and I consider the matter closed After talking with the owner, I do consider him to be a good and honest business owner who was just in a tough position due to the issues he experienced working on my vehicle.I’m satisfied with the work they did and with the agreement we reached concerning the bill. I will consider using his services in the future. If possible, please forward this to the business owner.
