[redacted] Gilstrap roofing has been in contact at times and even sent someone out to caulk but that is not fixing the problem I am still are having serious leaks
In May of 2016, Gilstrap Roofing installed a metal roof on my house. Since then we have experienced leaking, called multiple times and received no response. After finally receiving a response, they came out to repair but the roof continued to leak. The last time they were out was 2 to 3 weeks ago and repairs were made. On September 1, 2017, which was the next rain that we had, the roof continues to leak. I contacted the salesperson, owner and office to let them know it was still leaking. I got a text on September 1st, 2017 letting me know they were working on a solution and would get back to me. I have not had a response from them. After a year and 4 months since installation, my roof continues to leak. I have never experienced such poor customer service.I want my roof repaired so that it does not leak or totally replaced correctly.
Gilstrap roofing came out oct.24th and put the wider flashing on the roof I seen when pressure was put on the roofing metal water shot out from under it This tells me rain has blew up under the metal This new flashing may correct this from happening again but I don't know what kind of damage and rot to the plywood I have had from 15 months of leakes due to poor workmanship In one of my ceilings upstairs their are water stains on the ceiling This is why I thought it would best to replace the front side of the roof where the leakes accured to see if the plywood had any water damaged
Mrs. [redacted],We had someone out to repair Tuesday the 12th. As we had spoken about on the phone, our company no longer installs metal roofs and has been concentrating on shingle and commercial work since earlier in the year. We do have a repair staff who can do some caulking and minor metal repairs and have an agreement with another licensed contractor to do more extensive metal repairs if needed for our customers under warranty. This contractor was out 9/12 and totally reflashed both dormers. We believe this is the source of the leak and we will follow up with the customer after the next rain to determine if the leak is fixed and what steps need to be taken if the problem continues.Brian G[redacted]
