Rip off
Started collecting recently and wanted to buy a box of cards. I found it the most inexpensive on their site for about 1k. Great. No labels, no stipulations or warnings. So I buy. Open the box. Every single card was bent. I contacted them and they said that's typical with that set, that's why the cards in mint are so expensive, we'll refund you 10%... Yeah I bet theyre rare, but in a good box... ok but as a newb to the game I was suckered. Most sites will say if the box was crushed and what the cards would be like. This box seemed like it fell off a truck and ran over, then they put it on their site to see what dolt would buy it... unethical business practices. They won't respond to me about making it right. I see they have a lot of complaints on here. Maybe have to check these things before I buy beforehand.

Steel City WEIGHS their 2022 National Silver packs
A friend purchased 40 silver packs that they were selling. A lot of 10 cost over $500. Well, out of the 40 packs EVERY SINGLE CARD was PAPER. Thats right NO FOILS. Needless to say, NO AUTOS either. They even pulled this stunt on a live personals break someone purchased. They got 1 auto card. These scammers need to be EXPOSED. This just gets me to thinking, what else have they done to screw the hard working people out here. You need to AVOID these JERKS at ALL COSTS...

No give on policy
I purchased a few items that are on presell. They are still not available. Not a problem but I also put a 99.00 deposit down on a case. Got an email saying the product would be available for shipping soon so I paid the balance. After not getting it I called and was told that I had not paid the balance. Checked and didn't see any charges so I tried again. Got an email saying my payment was late and therefore I forfeit the deposit and was refunded my balance payment per their policy. Ok. I looked at the website and saw that the case was being sold for the exact same price. Called and after explaining they basically said too bad. You are out the 99.00 you sent and the price is what it is. I still want it so I will buy it elsewhere. Shoddy customer service. I hope now I get the other pre sale items. Don't spend a lot but what I do spend from here on will not be with Steel city.

Rude & Making Extra $$ with Shipping scam
Very rude and short, realized that they combine orders in single packages even when you specifically purchase expedited shipping for each order to ship separately and then they pocket the extra money. I've been trying to get a hold of them to address the issue as I'd imagine it's affecting a lot of people and they just keep ignoring me and now they've blocked me as well as prevented my from cashing in my large amount of earned loyalty points.

Shady! Do Not buy from these sorters.
Purchased a dozen value packs from these guys and got not one hit card! Statistically impossible according to Topps! They obviously have some way of sorting out which packs had the valuable cards; probably weighing them. I should have received a random lot of packs not all the sorted out misses; totally shady practices. DO NOT BUY

We have multiple systems in place to prevent fraudulent orders from taking place on our websiteIn this case our processor is saying that the IP address of the device being used to make the order is in Phoenix Arizona and the shipping address is in Washington which caused a red flag in the processing of this order and would not allow us to complete this order and void the chargeWe offered the customer a chance to use another payment route to which they declinedI already emailed the customer myself apologizing for one of our staff members wording of the email that they sent to the customer saying that the credit score was when the score that [redacted] (company that we use to help prevent fraud orders) gave this order was only so the order was voidedIt was not the customers credit score

It was not the customers credit score.

Absolutely amazing. Very similar to [redacted], and I was able to find amazing deals. They offer coupons on a purchase over $50 and free shipping over $199. I also got a couple free gifts. I got great pulls, no weighing or searching of any kind. 10/10. If I could go over 10, I would. I am absolutely blown away. I would 100% recommend Steel City Collectables. Buy with confidence.

We caught it when it happened but unfortunately the order was placed at the same time. We refunded the customer immediately and let him know of the error. The customer followed up with a threatening phone call to our employees. We have blocked this customer from trying to make future purchases because of these threats.
