This letter is in reference to the complaint filed against us with your officeMr*** *** did go to the customer's home on Oct9, to diagnose and assess the
problem he was having with his elevatorThis was a service call and the $was for the service call which includes diagnosing the problem, inspecting the unit, and travel to the customer's homeAll of this was done at the service callWe rendered a service and Mr*** paid for this service*** did agree to help him however when Mr*** and his contractor started to put blame on *** because he was the one who sold him the unit (when *** was with the previous company) he at that time (10/9/2014) told Mr*** that we would no longer be able to service the unit and that he should contact EMR*** was with the previous company and he did sell him the unit however he did not install the unit or have any responsibility in the unit being installed properly or improperlyHe also didn't know that the unit was installed improperly until he began to service it*** was employed as a salesman with the previous company and was only an employeeHe was not an owner, shareholder, mechanic, or installer even though he does have many years of experience in elevator installation*** explained this to Mr*** and his contractor and that he left the previous company because of how they were treating their customers which was not up to his standardsThe fault for his unit being installed improperly and all the problems the unit is currently experiencing lies strictly with the company that installed the unit, not with usWe are not liable for what another company did even if he did sell him the unitThis was also explained to Mr*** and his contractorWhen *** spoke with him a second time Mr*** was very rude and *** again told him he would not be able to help himHe again told him he needed to contact EMRWe feel Mr*** is only asking for a refund because we are refusing to work with him however he was told this on the date of service and referred to EMRWe provided a service on that date and he will not be getting a refund
