He neglects to say that his alleged 'harasser' is an elderly, handicapped 98 pound woman & he & crew are young maleconstruction workers.  The contract specifically states Iam to be given *Original* receipts (first paragraph);the alleged 'changed contract' is a March 13 Progress report (Isent these documents earlier.) I am attaching 4 pictures; Before & After of the exterior. I have other Before &After pictures of the interior as well that I would like to send, ifpossible. ID# [redacted] The customer and I agreed on a contract after a few drafts. She agreed to pay half of the cost of the project up front. Her desire was to have an Eco friendly housing unit made of recycled materials so some of the materials were used, per her request and as stated in the contract. For...

example, she insisted that I use cardboard and paper for insulation, which I was instructed to find myself because she didn’t want to pay for it. The materials were approved by her prior to being purchased and used.   My company was out there over 30 hours per week. She was not always present to see this. There were times that work had to be delayed due to ice and intense thunderstorms, which involved lightening. The contract states that “The project may be postponed for extreme weather that makes the conditions unsafe to work...” Though the contract did not state I needed to make up these hours, I would work on Saturdays and Sundays to meet the 30 hours due to her harassing me by phone and threats to not pay me. According to the original contract, once I finished the first part, I was to be paid. She created a new contract in the middle of the job and demanded I sign it before I would be paid. I was forced into signing it so I could be paid for what I did. She then refused to pay me until the electric company hooked up the electric meter. Once they did this, she paid me by check, but cancelled the check the next day. This put an extreme hardship on my small business. When she cancelled the check, I quit because I cannot afford to work for free. The customer is accusing me of not following written and verbal instructions. However, she changed her mind constantly, which is shown by her changing the contract in the middle of the job. Sometimes her ideas were not practical for the construction being done. I tried to compromise whenever this occurred and explain why it would not be feasible to do it that way. The language in her complaint says I “demanded” payment. I requested it because we had agreed on when I would be paid and she refused to pay me.  The original contract does not state that she would be provided original receipts. I did supply copies of all of the receipts.  She was very derogatory towards me including accusing me of being sexist and “money hungry”.  She refused to give me her real name or show proof of identification. I witnessed her lying to the electric and water companies, which I reported. I spoke to the contractor who started the job and he claimed to have the same issues with this customer and that she still owed him money as well. I spoke to the realtor at the customer’s address and this has not been her address for a while. She refused to give me a copy of either signed contract. I requested that the contract be notarized, but she refused. This customer went through my belongings and took my personal supplies and tools, which was observed by me and my workers. She also took my generator and locked it up. I was not able to retrieve it and was forced to replace it.This customer has shown to be deceitful, unethical and is slandering my business. At this time, the customer owes me $349.99 for a generator, $2,833 for the work completed, and the fees from my bank for her stopped check. This does not include the tools that she took. Once I am paid what I am owed, I do not mind supplying the original receipts. -- [redacted] Steelman Construction, [redacted] Doing it right costs less than doing it over!

I'm attaching the pictures I only sent partially last time; the exterior & interior shots. There were 2 shipping containers. I'm going to send you the before & after pictures for each view. I didn't have an after 'side' view, so I sent the front & back after pictures. The plastic is because the building was not weatherproofed, & the plywood is to keep the septic PVC lines & the cold water pex lines from completely being ruined by the weather. They were supposed to be covered immediately.   The interior shots were where the bathrooms & closets were supposed to be built. It was supposed to have the electricity wires run, then plastered with the papercrete insulation/plaster. All the supplies shown were provided by me; the doors, windows, wood for framing, except for the used pedestal sink ($60) & the PVC & pex pipes (probably less than $200 total in supplies). The only reason the pedestal sink is in the picture is because I discovered [redacted] in the process of stealing it & he ran off.     I'm including exerpts from a letter to the Attorney General that pertain to [redacted].   [redacted] claimed he completed the electric service on March 16th, the day the check was cancelled. I'm also attaching a picture of the *initial* site evaluation by [redacted] (March 19) the day before he quit ; it would take about another month to get service.
