Please note that the City figures all
deposits on the past months according to ordinance requirements and depending upon the credit score of the customerThe customer that filed the complaint with your organization had a poor score thus requiring a deposit of times the twelve month average for the utilities metered for that particular residence
With regard to the billing issue, the customer's first bill was for months of usage onlyThe amount of the bill is actually $with an $credit from HUDThis usage for the month 2,kilowatts 8,gallons of waterThe second bill was for a full billing cycle and included the included holidaysThe city did a comparison of builling for the last years and found that the January bill was $and the January bill was $As a result, the complaining party's bill of $was not materially different than the historic average
As for the meter testing issue, the customer called on February 2, inquiring about the amount of the billHe was informed that the meters had been reread and that he would need to contact his landlord to determine where so much electricity and water might be going because the city's records indicated nothing wrong on the part of the city
Also please note that the City of Steelville charges $for a meter examination, not the $suggested by the complainant
