May 16, 2017To Customer Information,This second letter is in response to the complaint filed from a woman that bought a transmission April 3, The answer is very simple, There was never any lying on my part concerning her response and absolutely didn't say what she is stating about selling the parts separately or would have charged her for it from the beginningAnd l, not only told her to bring the parts back once, but after her friend brought the transmission back also told him to get the other part and bring them back together and I would refund the moneyAt that time is when she called and said she is returning the part she paid forSince she didn't pay for the moduleIf you want to find out who is lying put her friend on the stand under oath and find outTill that time I have said all that needs to be said.Sincerely,Craig S

May 1, 2017To Customer information,This letter is in response to a complaint from a woman that bought a transmission April 3, She called for a transmission for a *** which stated we had and the price would be $At that point she asked if she could order it and I told her she would
have to make a deposit before we took the part offShe had a gentleman stop in and give the depositWe then got the part ready for her and the same man picked it up two days later.Later received a phone call saying that it didn't shift like her old oneI asked her if she was having a mechanic replacing it or a back-yard mechanic because the transmission required relearning and most novices are not aware of that factShe made a statement about being stupid which was not my intent, however did say to her just because I made a cup cake at *** doesn't make me a baker. She said that she would find out about that and hung upLater she called again and asked for the transmission module which I said I would give her because she bought the transmission and it should have stayed with the transmission, so her friend once again picked it upThe following day she brought our transmission back and wanted a refund; however she brought her module back instead of oursShe was not aware that our module was marked due to customer fraudI told him to get our module and we will refund her moneyHe said he does not know what she is doing. She called after that incident threatening a lawyer to sue usAt that time I said this conversation is over and hung upAt no time did I say that I would sell the module to anyone else but her as stated by her.My opinion is someone misdiagnosed her problem and she tried to fix it and when our module fixed her transmission she did not want to pay for the partShe is trying to defraud us because now her car worksHer module will not take the place of the one she took from us.After being in business years this is the first time we have ever had a complaintAt this point in time after what she did and the time allotted to return the item I will not return the item.Sincerely,Craig S

I bought a transmission from Steiner's Auto Parts on April 3, A few days later I called them at 717-272-stating the Transmission Control Module was not attached to the transmission and we need that part as wellThe owner advised me they sell that part separately but because I spent a lot of money already with them, that he would give me that partI kindly thanked him when we picked up that partAfter hooking the transmission up, my car did not run properly and shifted only to third gearWe figured this transmission was not good either which I understand does happen when you buy them from a junk yardPrior to buying this, I verified with the owner that it came with a warrantyThe owner assured me it has a day warrantyWe unhooked the transmission so we could return it for a refund so we could try a different route
When I called the owner letting him know we were bringing it back because? that transmission was not working properly either, the owner became irritate

I am rejecting this response because: The response the owner is wrong. He lied about a few things. First, we did not realize it was the wrong part when we took the transmission back for refund. My friend and I both stated that is not a problem and would like to pay for the part that was wrong. He told me he wouldnt sell them to me separately, but would to anyone else. I am not trying to fraud anyone! I just want what is fair! The owner just doesn't want to honor his warranty because he will lose the $550 sale. Well, the transmission that was sold to me did not work properly so yes, I'd like my money back. He conviently left out the part in his letter where I wanted to buy that part that was missing but refused to sell me it. Mainly because that part would be way less than the transmission so he would be losing out on it. I offered to pay for the part, just want a refund on the transmission that I have a receipt and warranty for. Of course Mr. Steiner is lying in his response, doesn't want to admit to being a horrible business owner and lying to customers! And now lying about them! How am I trying to defraud you when I tried twice to pay for the part you say fixed my car and I'm trying to defraud you on?!?! Last I check, someone defrauding you won't try to pay! If anything, sounds like you are defrauding me with not returning the money that is rightfully mine. And at the end of Mr.Steiners letter, it stated that I threaten to sue and call a lawyer. Well, when a business tells you that aren't refunding your money and won't sell you a part but would to anyone else, yeah, you should be sued! The owner outright lied in his response.
