Steinocher Heating & Air service review
My AC was not cooling. Steinocher Heating & Air responded to my 1st American warranty work order. The technician (JR) was fantastic. He called prior to arriving. One he troubleshot the issue, he took his time explaining to me what was going on and how the problem was going to be fixed. Very satisfied with Steinocher Heating & Air.

Our initial call to this customers home was on 3/10/15. The call that came in was for a dishwasher not working properly. Not cleaning dishes. Techs inspected the unit and found that the heating element was bad. Homeowner was advised that...

we would report to her warranty company that the element was bad and that once they approve we would return with the part to repair. Homeowner stated to the techs that were there that she was hoping that she would get a new dishwasher. She stated that she had her microwave replaced and that she was looking to get her other stuff replaced as well. Techs stated that if unit is repairable then that is what we do not replace units that can be repaired. We returned with the part and completed call on 3/20/15. We then received a recall from the homeowners warranty company on 3/29/15 stating that the unit still was not working, not cleaning dishes after our repair of the heating element. We returned to the home on 3/31/15 and upon arrival found the dishwasher running in a cycle. The daughter was surprised by the tech and when the tech said the unit is running currently the daughter stated what you don't believe me that its not working. Tech said no its not that the call stated that the unit wasn't working and I just find it funny that its running currently. Tech then stopped unit and opened it up and steam came out and it was full of water and suds which means unit was operating correctly. Tech called warranty company from site and reported what he found on this call. No mention of leaks were told to warranty company or techs. Tech did not observe any leaks or water at the time of either call we ran to this home. The homeowner did not report any water leaking or damage until 30 days later. The homeowner called us direct and was told that she needed to contact her warranty company if the unit was not washing correctly. We did not return upon her request at that time because we never received a call from the warranty to return to the home. The homeowner states that her daughter was yelled at and that was not correct when the techs told the daughter that the unit was operating fine she became irate and kicked the techs out of the home. We were never rude or hateful to the customer we were just not telling them what they wanted to hear. They wanted their unit replaced. No reports were received to our insurance company regarding any damage. If possible we would like to see an invoice from this other company showing where they came out and their findings on that call. Also we would like to see pictures of the damage and also the report from the insurance company stating what their findings were. We do not feel this is a valid claim and feel we should not have to pay her the money that she is requesting. We are a fair company and we do respect and care about our customers. Thank You. I am rejecting this response because: Steinocher is changing the entire conversation and events. They never had a conversation with the homeowner, because that is me, and I was at work both times.  I just bought the new dishwasher, why would I want another one.  Yes I am replacing my appliances, but I am replacing them, not my warranty company.  I just wanted a new heating element to replace the burnt out one.  I told Steinocher the name of the company, [redacted], and that they have video.  They also responded to my warranty company, [redacted], and told them they would give them the video.  I filed a claim with my warranty company and they told me to call Steinocher, which I did.  He told me he wasn't even going to come look at my floors, and that he wasn't going to do anything.  He proceeded to hang up on me.  I had to file the claim with my own insurance company, and think I'm being pretty reasonable only asking them to reimburse me for the 1600.00 deductible when they caused 11,000.00 worth of damage, and my insurance rates will go up due to this. They are more than welcome to contact [redacted] for the video, or my warranty company for the information regarding the second visit.  I would supply this, but he won't talk to me.

First of all the fee that was paid was for duct modifications. This is to make the unit work and connect with the existing duct work not the plumbing. The plumbing in question is quest piping and is existing. We only connect to the existing plumbing that is there as the warranty does not pay for the...

existing plumbing to be fixed. The tenant Mr. [redacted] was advised that this plumbing had issues and that they would need a plumber to come and repair or they could have issues. Our tech did not bend/kink the piping. The kink that he shows in his picture is not where we connect to install his unit so if its kinked it was there existing. The unit was not leaking when our techs left. Our techs would not leave a unit leaking. If it was leaking then why did they continue to run their unit over night and let it leak everywhere? We advised on the invoice that we were not liable for any damage caused by leaking or to any piping as this was all pre-existing. Customer Mr. [redacted] signed the invoice. I have a copy of the invoice on file if you would like to see it. Mr. [redacted] is the tenant and his name is on the workorder that we received from the Warranty company. As far as the carpet the homeowner was saying that the techs left oil on the carpet in front of the unit closet. The unit does not have any oil so we did not do this to the carpet. The techs were questioned about this and they stated that the whole floor was dirty like that and that the tenants had dogs in the house as well. Our techs are very careful as to use caution and drop clothes when needed. Mr. [redacted] had an issue with having to pay any money out of pocket from the very beginning. The amount out of pocket was originally suppose to be $250.00 and he complained enough that the warranty company had us lower his fee to the $150.00.Thank You?
