Stelcor Energy Corp Reviews (6)

I had a terrible experience with this companyFrom the time I signed a contract and gave them a $13,check, it took more than months to get panels on my house and the system operational, MUCH longer than the XX-XXX days statedI had TWO representatives sitting in my house before I signed the contract and they never mentioned that I could not put panels on my roof because it was a manufactured homeThey called me about two months later and said, "Oh, by the way, you need to reinforce the roof." WHAT?!?! That is something that should have been mentioned before I signed the contractThey are also difficult to get a hold of, not responding to voice mails or emails

My wife and I had the pleasure of installing solar panels through Stelcor Energy We had not seriously considered solar energy panels before, since they were very expensive, but their representative was aware of many incentive programs spanning the full spectrum of agencies involved We were required to post no money up front, and the construction loans were structured to take advantage of the various incentives as they paid out There was no interest charged for the loans, and if we had selected a minimum number of panels, we would have had almost no out of pocket expenses at all In our case we opted to install more than the minimum number of panels, so there was some additional cost, but it was VERY reasonable The panels were high quality, and the installation team were knowledgeable, friendly and professional We are extremely pleased with how the panels look on our house, and others must also be pleased as well, because several other houses in our neighborhood are choosing to install solar panels as well We would recommend these guys in a heartbeat! Thank you! It was a great pleasure doing business with you!!

This company is unscrupulous and may even be out of business as of my writingWe had numerous problems during the install process, even requiring the VP of Business Development, *** ***, to come to our home on multiple occasions to fix install problems We paid for the project in full and after months of problems, finally got the system up and running and thought we would not have to deal with Stelcor again However, we were just served with notice of intent to file lien on our home When I called the Complainant we were told Stelcor purchased materials from this third party and put our home up as collateral and didn't pay Obviously Stelcor having no ownership equity in our home cannot use our home as collateralI called our salesman and was told Stelcor may be out of business, he has had no contact with the company for at least a month and Stelcor owes the salespeople moneyI tried to call everyone at Stelcor with no return callI am going to their office today to see if I can get any updates Even though this Lien is invalid, I must still take my time to file a response, etc Luckily I am an attorney so this will not cost me any money However my time is valuable DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY

My husband and I were contacted by Stelcor Energy in/around Sept offering a program using state and federal incentives to offset much of the cost of installing solar panels on our house
We met with them several times and allowed them to do multiple site reviews to determine if we would qualify for the incentives We did
We signed incentives reviews and contracts in Oct and Nov all the while being told we would get our install in Jan
Their original design called for panels That was revised to in Dec then down to in Jan
I contacted the project manager on 1/because we had heard nothing since we signed more paperwork on 12/ They apologized for the oversight and had a crew out the following Monday to install the brackets and panels
Towards the end of the day one of the workers told me the they didn't have the panels to install but the converter and brackets on the roof were there The panels were to be installed on Friday that week
I emailed the Project Manager, *** *** on 2/asking for a status He responded on 2/with the following: "I haven't been able to get a date for the delivery of the panels All I am being told is that they are not currently available I will let you know something as soon as I find out Thanks for your patience"
Emailed again on 2/asking for an update and reminding them that our first payment was due in March His response:
"I'm sorry to report this bad news: the panels are on back-order until mid-March You will not be up and running before your first payment I don't know why the materials for your project were not ready with the installation I will find out whatever information I can and pass it along"
It's now 3/ We have made our first payment on an incomplete solar system and are on the hook for the cost of said system We're losing money on a system that was suppose to save us money :(
Since our last email with ***, he was let go by Stelcor Energy and they've shut down their business in Portland and returned to Arizona
Multiple voicemails to the company, their Portland representative *** *** , their Arizona PM, *** *** *** *** and their CEO have gone unreturned
Don't trust them or you could end up like us with a bunch of equipment that doesn't work without panels after months of revised plans
