Review: I scheduled an appt. with Stella Grace Beauty for Hair Stroke Eyebrows Permanent Make-Up. Online it says she is located in [redacted], but when I called to schedule my appt. she told me she is located about an hour away in [redacted] She told me I needed to schedule it online. When scheduling an appt. on her website it forces you to pay her first. It also explains that if you change your mind she will still keep $100 of your money. I paid the $350 for my procedure online using my bank card and scheduled my appt. I showed up for my appt. and it turns out it was a house not a business. Also, within minutes of my arriving another client shows up. She forgot and scheduled us both. So unprofessional. The other client was a touch up procedure for $50 and mine was $350, so naturally she took me instead. While I'm there she explains to me that hair stroke will take 2 visits to complete. She never mentioned this on the phone. She refused to draw my brows on first for so I could see how they would look. She tells me she will make them all colored in at this visit & the next visit put little lines in them that look like hairs for the hair stroke. I wanted hair strokes done today. She said it will look better this way & done in 2 visits. So I let her do my brows and she told me to go online & schedule my second appt. I refused because it tries to charge me again. So I called her to schedule this appot. Unfortunately, the day before I had to call her back & cancel this appt. because my son was ill. When I called her again to try to reschedule she would not return my phone calls. I even emailed her. Finally she responds by texting me telling me it will be an additional $100. I refused & told her I would file a small claim against her for not doing what I paid for & trying to charge me more. She then texted me should would mail to my work a check for the $350 I paid as a refund instead of completing my procedure. I agreed. No check was sent & she emailed me at work telling me she wasn't sending me a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because she did not complete the procedure I paid for and no respectable person would trust this person to complete the procedure at this point. She offered on her own to refund my money to me so I could go elsewhere to have my permanent makeup completely correctly, then she did not send me my money back. I would like a refund pending a lawsuit.

Response:

This client cancelled her first two touch up appointments within an hour of her scheduled appointment time and I did not charge her the 50% late charge that could have been applied for not cancelling 24 hours before the service time, in fact I charged her nothing at all and instead voluntary lost income during the hour I could no longer book. The third time she was scheduled to come in she did not call to cancel, instead she chose not to show up at all. At the time she wanted to schedule a fifth appointment (this includes her very first appointment) I asked her if she would be willing to pay $100 to hold her appointment as there had been three other appointments that I had held for her that she did not attend. She became furious and began harassing and threatening me, all of this was done via texting and emails and I have kept every one for proof. It was very uncomfortable and a little bit scary. Although I always hold the belief that we should make the client happy, it is also true that the merchant has basic human rights: that our time and ability to make an income is respected as is our right not to be abused and treated in a malicious way.

In this situation the client complaint was not completely truthful, she chose to bring in the truths that would bring credit to her story but omit the parts that would show the true situation. I do not feel that she should receive a refund do to the fact that she was given ample opportunity to finish the service and even after she harrassed me I offered to complete the service.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: This response is false and inaccurate. She repeatedly contacted me at work and I responded everytime. There was no harassment as I have each email correspondence as well. There were no threats made to her. I did state that I would be filing a claim in small claims court which I am doing and that I would report the business to the Revdex.com and I would also right reviews to let future clients know that she tries to charge you extra to complete the procedure you've already paid for. As far as the appointments scheduled. That is all fabricated. To begin with she had no posted cancelation policy nor did I sign one. There was one appointment scheduled and I canceled the day before because my child was ill. In researching the procedure of heir stroke eyebrows, it is always done in one visit. And a block eyebrow is not done at all with this procedure. She applied a block brow and told me to come back for the hair stroke on top of that. This is not how it's correctly done. It appears she told me to come back knowing that she would not be doing a hair stroke brow because she does not know how. I have submitted this complaint with the Revdex.com before filing a claim in small claims court to give her the opportunity to issue my refund in full just as she told me she would do when I waited a week for the check to come and had to contact her to find out that she had no plans to issue me a refund. If she chooses not to issue the refund for my procedure that was not finished and done incorrectly then I will file a small claim.

Response:

This client is not being truthful in her response concerning the facts and she is also supposing to be an expert in my field although she has no experience performing permanent makeup. I have retained all copies of the texts and emails and so have proof supporting my email. When she made the appointments she was made aware of the cancellation policy every time the appointment was made and I have paperwork to prove that fact. She cancelled two appointments with less than one hour notice and then did not cancel the third appointment at all but instead did not show up for it. When she refused to pay the $100 fee I offered to complete her service anyway. I can do no more for her than what I have already done. When I asked her if she liked the service she had received so far she responded yes and I have written confirmation of that fact. She made a complaint about me on google p, falsifying the facts and using her husbands name instead of hers. This is slander.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Waiting for documentation of her cancelation policy with my signature. Stating facts is not slander. I was never happy with the work she did nor did I say that I was. I have block eyebrows and paid for hair stroke. I will be filing a law suit. Thank you.
