*** ***I stand by my complaint Stellar made me a denture that never has fit properly, a partial that never fit properly and was disposed of If the dentist felt that caps should have been used prior to the partial being made, that's what should have been done PRIOR to the partial being made The dentist is more knowledgeable than the patient If this matter can't be resolved with the help of the Revdex.com, I will retain an attorney

I filed the complaint because I pay the dentist bills and the dental insurance that used by my family under my name from my nystate jobThe account at the dentist which includes my wife, my son, and myself is under my nameI am responsible for the account as a whole

RE: Complaint #***To whom it may concern; The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge the patients concerns expressed in complaint #***The patient received root canal treatment 2/28/and paid as agreed a total of The patient continuedwith 6-month exam, cleaning and x-rays as
recommendedThe x-rays taken during those visits were bite-wing xraysand according to the doctor do not show infectionIt was only after the patient told the hygienist aboutsensation issues during the August, visit that a Periapical x-ray was performed and the infection wasidentified. As for the root canal, it is very important that patients understand the treatment that they are receivingFor thisreason, prior to root canal treatment, a detailed explanation of the procedure and risks are verbally stated andfollowed by a consent notice that is presented for the patient signature acknowledging the discussionThis signedconsent form is on file.It is unfortunate that the root canal failed and further treatment was neededThe implant treatment was completeand paid as agree by Dr F*The dollar breakdown is as follows:Credits [debits) TotalPatient received $credit for referring patientsBleaching refill purchaseImplant treatment paidExtractionImplantBone GraphTissue Graph$150($60)$1965($137)(1590)($255)($275)$150$110$2075$1902$312$57($182)The outstanding balance was $as mentioned in the complaint letter is the balance amount dueHowever afterthe patient discussion with the manager, as a curtesy was the account was adjusted to $In addition thereferral amount of $was also credited back to the accountToday the account has a credit of $110.Finally, regarding the lab fee for the crownThe lab fees are included In our treatment planIfthereisaconnection between the patient and the lab and a fee is to be negotiated, it is to be negotiated between the patientand the lab directlyIt is not our place to get involved. We pride ourselves at Stellar Dental to provide the very best treatment for our patientsWe care about ourpatients and are willing to work with themIt is unfortunate that procedures don't always go perfectly and thispatient felt they were mistreatedThe final crown restorative treatment may still need to be completed and inaddition to the credit on the account, we are willing to work with the patient on the restorative fee.Regards,ManagementStellar Dental Care

problem early on and now are outright LYING by stating they recommended I wait until after the pregnancy to have the work done. That was never once said, in fact, they tried to schedule me for an extraction the same day I came to them with a bad infection and prior to me being on anti-biotics so there is a degree of incompetency there as well. It took 6 weeks to refund my money, which was a deliberate attempt at harassing me further. I believe the office manager at the very least should be made to go to classes on how to treat patients and basic customer service skills if the practice cares at all about who is representing their image.[redacted]

her on 6/3/2010 (this was a full upper denture}She came on 7/13/10 for a denture reline. This is normal. Teeth are removed prior to issuing thedenture and denture reline is normal after the 6-8 weeks of healing. Her next visit was on 8/4/2010 for a sore spot adjustment. We did not hear from her again until the endof December (12/28/2010) at which time she came in for her routine checkup. Our 12/28/10 chartnotes read that patient stated her denture was comfortable. The patient had government insurance ~ full coverage until mid-2011 when it terminatedThe Patient's next visit was on March 2012. For an emergency visit - 3 lower teeth were extracted.Breakdown of the $1500.00 she is disputing: only $960 was for the lower partial; the balance wasapplied to the cost for her fillings and a denture repair. A denture that she still has and has beenwearing since October 2013.Lower partial:was issued on 10/18/13. A standard follow up appointment to check her denture wasscheduled on 10/22/13. She cancelled this appointment and told the receptionist that she was nothaving any problems with her denture and doesn't need the appointment. She did not return untilJanuary 16, 2014. She complained 3 months later that she was not happy withher denture. That is gets loose after wearing it for a while. According to the Doctors treatment notesshe was advised prior to the denture being made that the two support teeth that the denture would beattached to should have crowns placed for the best retention. She declined due to cost.February 12, 2014 Complaint Letter: The patient was contacted and told the doctor would be happy toremake the denture for her at NOCHARGE but the only way the way the denture was going to feelmore secure was ifshe had the anchor teeth crowned like she was told prior to having the denturemake. To try to help the patient the Doctor offered a reduced fee for the crowns ($400.00 each -standard fee $960 each) and again no charge to remake the denture to fit over these crowns. Patientdeclined. Another year passed until we saw her again for a denture issue.May26th 2015: a denture reline was done to try to tighten the fit of the denture. The cost was$360.00. Patient was not satisfied. She did not feel that the relined resolved the issue. So, I spoke withthe owner of the practice who agreed to remake both upper and lower dentures and only charge herthe lab cost. ($250.00 each =$500) I discussed this with the patient and her daughter in person. Theywere both very happy. In addition to this I credit her $360 fee she was just charged on 5/26/15 for thereline. I told them they could apply it to the $500.00 fee to remake her upper denture (now 5 yrs oldand her lower denture now 2yrs old) This is a very generous discount. The cost were explained to the patient and her daughter: $500 lab fee, less $360 credit given, left$140.00 balance due which needed to be paid the day the dentures would be issued.On8/24/15 patient came in for her Denture issue. She refused to pay the balance. Insisted she didn'towe anything. The patient has a complicated medical /health history so Ithought she may have beenconfused. So Ihad her call her daughter who agreed the balance wasdue and gave meher credit card #over the phone. The patient got loud and nasty said she doesn't like this new set of dentures either and does not wantthem. I told herthat was fine. They were not issued. The patient was told that the $360.00 credit onher account would be applied the lab fee we incurred and that It would be best that she seek treatmentelsewhere in the future. She was sent a dismissal letter on 8/24/15. She then filed this complaint on9/3/15.We feel we have made every attempt possible to satisfy this patient, however we do not feel a refund isappropriate.Regards,ManagementStellar Dental Care
