As we discussed earlier regarding the above complaint, the accountant for the property where the tenant previously resided has advised me that the security deposit has already been requested from the bank and should get mailed to [redacted] shortly.

Review: Rented an apartment from Stellar Management. Paid the rent on time since they've managed premises. Never had to pay a late fee. When I moved I wanted to live out my security, Stellar Management told me I could not do that and that they needed a "60" day notice. Fine, I did not move until "90" days later. When I issued them copies of all my paid rent thinking I was going to get my security deposit, I was ran around for many months and when they were not running me around I was ignored. Their excuse for not giving my security deposit was that I owe them 8 days, which does not add up to $1,000 and that I broke my lease. Broke my lease so why didn't these is tell me that in the first place. I gave them their key less then five days after I moved out and the sneaky super of their Bronx management office held the keys for close to two months after I vacated the premises. If I broke the lease then why the hell you didn't tell me that in the first place instead of telling me to give your office 60 days??? Stellar Management are crooks and funny thing is everyone I know that have moved out of the premises in the past, not one person has received their security deposit. No wonder everyone keeps moving in and out.Desired Settlement: Be honest, deduct what I owe and give me back my deposit. Stellar Management knows good and [redacted] well they do not follow lease but they used the lease as an excuse!

Review: This message is regarding the situation with the rental payment for April being considered NSF from our Wells Fargo Bank account, although the funds were there and available. We have provided bank statements to prove this. This was documented in the statement provided to [redacted] a few weeks ago. Additionally, I have images of the confirmation number from the payment. We, the tenants, cannot be held accountable for this obvious computer/system error.

Now, on May [redacted] we have a notice of an unpaid amount of $154.32 after [redacted] provided my husband with the amount due without fees for May. [redacted] has not been very helpful or even seems interested in hearing what either of us has to say and to solve this issue.Desired Settlement: It would be proactive on your behalf to 1) correct the status of our rental account, 2) correctly post the rental history of our payments 3) refrain from posting and delivering these notices which are incorrect and finally, 4) provide us with a letter acknowledging the bank statements provided to you showing that funds were available on the date the payment was made online. We also have an image of the confirmation number after the two separate payments were made for April.

Response:

I have had the opportunity to speak with representatives of the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that the issue has been resolved satisfactory to me and the matter can be closed.

Sincerely,

One star would be too high for Stellar Management. My husband and I have lived in one of their NYC buildings for shortly over two years, in a newly renovated unit that as far as we know was completely illegally redone. We have never seen a permit and have called incessantly asking for the work permits for the renovations they keep doing on every unit when a tenant moves out, and we've had seven issues with repairs that have NEVER gotten done - from a leaky radiator (that was incorrectly installed to begin with) to broken windows! The super has left brand new fridges for all the tenants whose fridges have broken down IN THE HALLWAY, BLOCKING THE MAILBOXES, and even BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE TO APARTMENTS for days on end - [redacted] stopped our mail for 3 DAYS because they couldn't get to the boxes!!! The super screams at my husband every time he asks for something to get done - but I don't even blame the super, I blame Stellar for their gross negligence.

Now, our entire building is infested with BEDBUGS and Stellar is digging in their heels once again: tenants who've found the infestation in their units are hiring their own exterminators because Stellar takes so long to deal with problem, and has sent J&B Pest Control which has unsuccessfully exterminated at least one unit. We are horrified, and we are organizing our building to bring 7A Proceedings against Stellar Management - I recommend you all do the same in your buildings. 7A gives us the right as tenants to organize at least 1/3 of the units in a building to ask the NYC Housing Court to remove Stellar from managing the building until all repairs are made and the tenants are able to live safely in the building. Living with infestations or negligence in repairs are both on the list under Section 770(1) of the Real Property Actions and Proceedings Law of NYC's Civil Court Housing.

Organize, because there is power in numbers. This company is a nightmare and if you search for lawsuits that have been brought against them you will find multiples in the last five years.

Review: I rented an apartment in [redacted] under Stellar Management. After 4 months of moving out, an innumerable number of unanswered phone calls and emails, and lies from every person I have spoken to at Stellar, I still have not received my original security deposit for the apartment. I'm a patient and fair professional, and am absolutely appalled by Stellar's lack of professionalism and accountability for the past few months and also in my one year of business with them.Desired Settlement: I need Stellar Management to pay me in full the original amount of the security deposit.
