Review: I paid $200 to clean 3 pairs of shoes. For some reason they made me pay when I dropped them off. I thought it was strange to pay for services before you see the work, but I went along with it. First, I paid extra money to be able to pick them up by a certain date and they were not ready. Then when I arrived to pick them up they could not find them, even though I had my ticket. They kept asking what they looked like and made me search through a pile of random people's shoes. Finally they found my shoes. 2 pairs had completely changed color and looked far more damaged than before. I brought in identical shoes to show them how the colors were different and they tried to blame me. I would expect they would at the very least apologize and offer a refund. But instead they just yelled at me, told me I was wrong and that I had to leave.Desired Settlement: Refund.

Review: Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I went in last week to buy some conditioner for my boots which totaled $11.77 and ended up getting charged $94.41 on my debit card somehow. Thankfully I had both the itemized and the debit card receipt. I went in there a few days ago to see what was going on... I was expecting an "I apologize for the inconvenience of over charging you... Here's your money back" I ended up getting a bit of a different reaction... The little lady that is always there told me they would have to check their records.. I showed her both receipts and kindly asked what more proof she needed? Furthermore the last 4 digits of my Visa is the exact amount she over charged me in the first place. I absolutely understand that people make mistakes.. but she just couldn't admit to that and when I demanded a refund again at this point she got snippy with me and told me "Ok we'll see if it's your fault or mine... Come back in a few days." I asked her why I had to be inconvenienced yet again but I could see I was going no where with her.Fast forward to today, Friday. I went in again and she acted like she didn't recognize me... I explained the situation again, she looked at the receipts and kept asking me what I bought... I asked for a refund again, she blamed the mistake on me and said they needed more time. More time for what? I don't understand and at this point I am losing my patience. She told me to come back tomorrow when the owner will be in but I have a feeling she is trying to divert the situation because I have a feeling she's part owner. I told her I did nothing wrong, I am a paying customer and I just want my $82 back. I told her I was going to call the police... I did and unfortunately they can't deal with these types of disputes and told me to call my bank & report the business. I am absolutely appalled at this customer service. Now in order for my bank to investigate these "fraudulent charges" ... they have to shut my debit card down. I'm not sure what I'm left to do but what this business is doing is very immoral! I'm never giving them business again and you shouldn't either. I would hate for them to get away with this and do this to someone else. I went in there for the 3rd time today (Saturday May 10th) to speak to Harry about getting my $82 back for overcharging my debit card. I showed him my 2 receipts- the itemized that shows I bought 2 items totaling $11.77 and the Visa debit card receipt that shows he over charged me for $94.41- plain and simple... There is the proof. He pulled up his records and tried to compare it to another itemized transaction on his receipt roll that totaled $94.50 and tried to say that was my receipt and that I did buy $94 worth of stuff... I told him that's a good try sir but that time stamp on the receipt didn't match the time I was in. After he yelled at me he finally said "Ok maybe it was her fault for the charge but it was your fault for not checking your receipt!" Again I am appalled that this is my fault. After he finally admitted fault I'm thinking I'm finally going to get my money back... No... He said he needed more time to investigate & not to ever step foot in his store again. At this point I was speechless! I told him I was going to report him. Little did I know that this business already has an "F" rating on the Revdex.com and that I shouldn't have wasted my time & just reported him to begin with. I'm sitting here dumbfounded that I didn't get my money back and that I don't know what else to do... What they are doing is illegal and definitely immoral. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like the amount $82.64 deposited back into my checking account.

Review: I had the WORST experience I've ever had with a store clerk/owner. I took a pair of boots and purse to be repaired and I had my friend pick up my items on 12/23/14 because I couldn't make it to the store from work before they closed. I called ahead and the store clerk said my friend could pick up my items with the pay stub so I sent her a photo of the stub. When she went to pick up my items they "couldn't find" my $400 bag. After vigorous searching and 20 minutes later they found the bag, my friend then left the store with both items I had dropped off. When my friend brought them over I realized that the bag had not been repaired at all. it had not been touched. Since the store policy is that you pre-pay for the services I went back and spoke with the woman who helped me and explained to her that I would just like to have a refund for the non-existent repair she performed on my bag. I had the bag with me and the receipt for $29. She screamed at me and fought with me in front of customers claiming that I had brought in another bag to be repaired that they fixed and accused my of bringing in a different handbag. I went back and forth with the woman even though she was screaming at me that I was a liar and claimed that I had brought in another purse. I asked to speak to the manager and she said he was not in and to come back on a day he is there. I don't know if I will attempt to go back and get a refund after being treated this way. After looking at their Yelp reviews I see that this similar situation has happened to many other people so I felt it my duty to report it and write a Yelp review. I shared my experience with other closed friends who also experienced similar situations.Desired Settlement: I would like a $29 refund if possible. Not sure if its worth the trouble. I honestly just wanted the Revdex.com to be aware how this business is operating.

Review: I teach in the Caribbean where the toe strap on my handmade leather flip flops broke after many years. I took them to Step N Out for repair while I was visiting friends in SB in January. The woman noted that it would be difficult since it broke at the base and the sole would have to be unglued but that it could be "patched". Several days later I picked them up and was shocked at the $39 charge, but the repair looked good and I paid with my credit card. Back in the Caribbean in early Feb after only a few wearings, it broke again. I emailed the business via their website, included pictures and asked that they credit my card for the price of the repair. I didn't hear back and after 2 or so weeks sent another email, with pictures, to their email address rather than thru the website. I waited another couple weeks, then called yesterday. The woman answered and told me to call back today: "He'll be here tomorrow". Today I called and [redacted], the manager, answered. I told him I'd emailed and not heard back but that I was requesting a refund since the repair failed. He said "just a minute" and it sounded like he was helping a customer. Then he came back and asked me to repeat the story, which I did. He said I'd have to bring them into the store, and I repeated for the 3rd time that I live in the Caribbean. He said he needed "the slip". He told me he does not read the emails and does not "use pictures"Desired Settlement: Credit card refund (I am filing a dispute with my credit card company) and notification of the public about this poor service

Review: Just had the worst shoe store experience of my life. I asked for help selecting a product to treat my leather boots. [redacted] asked me to place a boot on the counter, which I did. He found a product, opened the bottle and replaced the cap, then promptly reached under the counter for a bottle that was already used, had a grimy cap and open lid. He poured some product on my boot to show me how to use the product, then took my credit card. He asked if it was credit, and I said yes. He ran it, told me it was denied, and asked for another card. I was worried, because I have excellent credit and used that card less than 30 minutes prior. I gave him a debit card, which he ran, and then he placed the old, used bottle in a bag, and when I asked him to place the new bottle in the bag, he became upset and told me the "new" bottle was already open, and that I needed to take what I had. His OLD USED bottle. I felt like I had to leave asap or have something fraudulent happen with my credit card as I realized he was cheating me on the product I purchased, as well as stating I had a problem with my credit card. I walked home quickly, logged into my account to check my credit card, and discovered that he had run my credit card and then returned the total before asking for my debit card. Please help. I'm 1) afraid of fraudulent activity, and 2) upset that he charged me for a bottle that was already used while he lied about it to my face. Please protect other patrons from this business owner.Desired Settlement: A full refund would be appropriate. I was almost forcibly told to accept the used merchandise for full price.
