I'm rejecting the response from Stephen Donnelly because he only shows the side of the house, and not the back of the house where they did patchingBoth the side and back(in particular) are NOT EVEN close to matching the color of the existing stuccoI had another stucco professional(years experience) come out to look at my house and he said the texturing was just OK and that the Color Match WAS NOT EVEN CLOSEAs to signing a sheet of paper on the color of the stucco, the stucco was wet at the time and wasn't allowed to dry to see what the true color would be, which to my dismay, is way offAlso, I don't appreciate, at all, anyone trying to cut corners and try to rip me off by not removing rock out next to the foundation where most of the crumbling stucco was on the South wallMy Son and I(years), had to spend about hours removing the rock so that the crumbling stucco could be replacedThe stucco applicator from Stephen Donnelly should have taken the time(or should have known) to let the stucco sample dry on the wall by using a blow torch to dry it, so he could get the color to match as closely as possible to the existing stuccoIt should be in no way the homeowners responsibility to know how to match the color of stucco, unless they are experienced in this field, that's why we hire so called professionals to do the workAlso, the work that was done years ago(North wall), doesn't match eitherNow, I'll probably have to hire another contractor(Thousands of dollars) to come and paint the entire house to cover up the mess that was created by Stephen Donnelly Stucco CoStephen Donnelly should man up and admit that his crew screwed up and make it rightI'm tired of companies that do sub-standard work, expect to be paid, and don't take responsibilty when they screw upDonnelly should refund my moneyPISSED OF!
On August 15th, 2017 we had an industry expert, familiar working with tints and portland cement stucco, call and leave voicemail for [redacted], homeowner's son, in hopes of scheduling an onsite meeting that next Thursday or Friday afternoon to discuss in person their concerns. [redacted]'s...
son, called the experts office back and scheduled for Thursday August 17th, 2017 at 12:30pm.At the home, on August 17th and 12:30pm, present were [redacted] (expert), and Steve Donnelly, President of Stephen Donnelly Company.Our goal was to satisfy customer's concerns. The meeting lasted approximately one hour, during which [redacted] shared the normal process of stucco patching, matching and expectations. It became obvious quickly that the customer wasn't interested in hearing anything other than harsh criticism of our work. [redacted] and [redacted] went back and forth sharing their years of experience with crooked cement contractors and roofers. He spoke of a recently settled dispute with his last roofing contractor, calling them is and using profanity, stating he could roof better than they did. [redacted] even resorted to physical posturing towards Mr. Donnelly, which is when Mr. Donnelly decided to leave the meeting and property.We've done work for this customer in the past, approximately 4 years ago. Which until this issue, we filed away under another successful finished project. During a recent call to our office [redacted] stated that they were unhappy with that job as well. On June 8th, the day of the finish coat being applied Mr. [redacted] signed and approved a color and texture form, and during the process of applying, complimented our journeyman applicator, James, numerous times for his work.We feel we've went beyond reasonable trying to satisfy this customer's concerns. We have completed this job, above industry standards and expectations, and are still waiting for final payment to us.
