The mentioned roof had extreme leaking at the rear of building and completely deteriorated decking causing damage to the tenant Kmarts merchandiseI was contacted by *** *** (*** *** employee) to inspect the roof and submit a
complete reroof price of which I did on 9/19/along with other roofersthe price for the complete reroof was $ 365,(not including decking replacement)
on 10/2/*** *** mentioned to me that after receiving the proposals that her boss (*** ***) had mentioned that they could not afford a complete reroof at that time and they have sectioned and area approximately 1/of the roof that they wanted addressed to stop the big problems at the rear of building and they would budget to do another 1/in and the final 1/in 2014.(see attached emails) she also mentioned that she needed at least a year warranty on the entire roof just because of something in the lease they had with *** I then said but the whole roof is oldshe replied she knew that but they where going to do 1/each year until the entire roof is resurfaced as long as the back of the building is addressed firstI also mentioned in our proposal that the warranty would increase when the entire roof is completed with in monthsprior to this I was told there where no leaks in the front sections of the buildingso we resurfaced 1/of the rear sectioned of roof and only preventive work at the rest of the building with that understandingwhen arrived I had asked *** when should we planed to start the next 1/of the projectshe mentioned they had to much going on but probably at the end of the summerin the mean time I was then alerted from *** *** (the *** buildings manager) that the front of the roof always had numerous roof leaksat this point I was worried that about what I was told by *** prior to signing any work*** *** also mentioned to me that they where promised from *** *** and *** *** a complete new roofWe conducted repairs to the front of the building on: 3/10/XXXX X/8/XXXX X/7/XXXX X/11/XXXX X/27/XXXX XX/2/XXXX XX/10/and 1/14/most of the time we would go and address leaks then we would get a call the next day saying that there where other leaks, then we would have to send a crew out againinstead of telling us all the leaks so that we could get them done at one timeI believe that was simply a communication problem with in *** in *** wanted us to pay for any damaged interior tiles and I mentioned that we where not responsible for any interior damage as stated in our contractShe mentioned that she wanted a leak free roofI told her she didn't pay to do the entire roof so how in the world could she expect that(included email) just to statethe area that was entirely resurfaced only leaked one time in 1/14/and that was because of a open expansion jointand Mr *** *** mentioned to me that he was vary happy with the way the back roof was holding up, and that he wanted *** properties to finish the whole roofIn january the roof experienced thermal shock and I mentioned to a new employe (***) of *** *** that this was not covered because the front roof was never re-roofedI submitted a proposal to address this area for the price of $ 5,of which was approved by *** *** and signed by *** *** sent me an email stating that she had full authority to sign the contract)as in our contract we require a 1/down payment and the balance upon completiontexting *** to see if the check was processed *** mentioned that she couldn't get *** to approve the down payment,(i have copies of the text) *** also mentioned that *** did want to pay for the workthis concerned me because they wanted the work done right awayso I told *** that we would not do the work until we had the down payment in handthats when *** *** finally emails mebut they where full of threats.(I have all those emails also) the bottom line is thisthey wanted to corner me into a full job warrantee and lied to get me thereI cannot submit all of the documents per my attorneys advise, because *** *** had mentioned to me that I better have a good attorneyso this looks to me like this will go to courtthey may have paid me just over $ 125,but that by no means is near the complete cost of a new roof that would have been over $ 400,If you want new roof security you have to pay for a new roofI by no means wanted to be difficult this is my lively hood and do everything in my means to keep my customers happy and that shows in my Revdex.com ratingbut there are simply some customers that this is not possibleI am prepared to defend myself in this matter

We will provide copies of the contract which provide clear warranty languageThis response is unacceptable and we expect *** to compensate us such that we can be made while for his failure to honor the written agreement

We had to replace the roof in it's entirety as a result of ***'s meaningless and worthless warranty

In response to this claimWe simply reroofed the rear section with the agreement that the customer would complete the remaining roofThey didn't and wanted a new roof warranty on a old roofWe where willing to honor our warranty on the roof that was reroofedI was at this location on July 6th and asked a manager of the rear section had leaksHe said that there weren't any leaks there only the front section (old roof)
I also spoke tot here tenements *** and I was told that the building owners promised them a new roof when the lease was signedAs to my knowledge the roof is still unaddressed
