you for your letter and inquiry regarding Dr [redacted].October 25th - I met with [redacted], real estate agent, for the property at [redacted]I took measurements and a sample of the existing hardwood[redacted] asked me to price out changing the bedrooms and closets from carpet to match the existing hardwood.October - [redacted], design associate, and myself met with Mr [redacted] and Dr [redacted]We went over the scope of work, which grew while we were there to adding ADA handrails in the water closet, hand bars in the shower, removing the shower door, changing the threshold so Dr [redacted] could walkin safely to showerThen Dr [redacted] asked us to design the Living room, Dining Room, Family room, including removing a bar, window coverings, furniture, etc.Dr [redacted] was aware that he was placing an order for a custom made product, that was a specific size and color, and that this order was nonrefundableHe then proceeded to have me fill out a check for his non refundable deposit of $10,and he signed it,The week of November 14"??"18", I left several messages for Dr [redacted] with no responseI reached out to [redacted], who also could not get a hold of either Dr [redacted] or his wifeI tried calling [redacted] (his wife) as well, with no responseNovember 18", Istarted texting Dr [redacted] to see if I could get a response because we were due start installation on Monday the 21.All materials were in, installers and contractors scheduledDesign complete and diagrams ready, On the 21, the installers showed up at Sterling to do the job but we still had no response from Dr [redacted] or his wifeWe finally got a hold of Mr [redacted] and were told the house had not closed escrow yetWe rescheduled everyone for the 28" and told Mr [redacted] when the house closed, we would do our best to get the workers there sooner because we knew how important it was to complete this work so that Dr [redacted] could move around the house.Later that week, Mr [redacted] said he had spoken with Dr [redacted] and had a feeling that the sale was not going to go close and that Dr [redacted] completely understood that the deposit was not refundable and was appreciative of all the trouble we went through to expedite his jobLater, Mr [redacted] informed us that the house was not going to close.On Sunday, February 19", nearly months later, I received a voicemail and text from [redacted]I asked her to contact [redacted] as I was out of townShe then proceeded to leave threatening texts and voicemailsI spoke to Mr [redacted] and he advised me not to speak with [redacted], that he was in contact with Dr [redacted]At no point was Dr [redacted] or his wife taken advantage ofI hope this clears up this matterDr [redacted] was completely aware that this was a non refundable custom orderIf you have any further questions, please don't hesitate tocontact me.Sincerely,[redacted]
