Review: I arrived at the laundromat around 7pm, to find only another customer there (there were no workers, owners or anyone on behalf of the laundromat to address any matter customers may have). I spent over $30 washing and drying my clothes including $4.00 that was taken from one of the machines because I took too long to insert the last quarter; once I entered the last quarter which added up to $4.00 the machine restarted back $4.00 rather then starting to wash (so I had to enter an additional $4.00 quickly to start the machine). The customer that was there when I arrived told me that there is never anyone overseeing any matters at the laundromat and that someone usually arrives to close the store in the evening. He also mentioned that the people who owned the flower shop in the corner (980 mclean ave which is why I included the flower shop phone number) also owned the laundromat; I went to the flower shop in search of someone to help me with my $4.00 issue but the shop was closed. Around 9pm another customer arrived and began to wash and dry. Around 9:45pm the owner abruptly comes in the store yelling at us both asking us why we're still in the store. Clearly, I had 6 loads drying and the young man was drying as well. She demanded that we both leave the store and didn't care that I clothes to fold and that the young man's clothes had not finished drying. The woman went on to offend us insinuating that we're stupid because the store "closes at 8" and we were still there. We calmly explained to the woman that NO EMPLOYEE was in the laundromat at any given time to let us know when the last load should be, moreover to oversee any of the customers issues. The woman did not care and was very rude and continued to tell us we need to leave, yelling at us and rushing us. We, again pointed out that it wasn't our fault she didn't have an employee in the location and that she should have en employee available at all times to avoid any confusion. The woman had no care, told us to leave because they're closed.Desired Settlement: I would like my $4 back for starters. I would also like someone to contact her on behalf of the Revdex.com and explain to her that she should ALWAYS have someone minding the business. She should have never been rude and should have addressed the matter (no fault of our own since no one was there to designate)in a kinder more respectable tone. She should have waited for us to finish our laundry as we already had spent our money. She should take a course on ethics and should be fined for incompetence.

First of all the complainant live right across the street from the Laundromat, as stated in the Revdex.com customer experience Information letter.

This person knows the Laundromat is a self-serve operation and if there is a problem there is an out of order tag that can be filled out and put in the mail slot.

The store window and in the store clearly states, last wash at in at 8:30pm

A wash usually takes about 20-25 minutes to run, she said she had 6 loads = 6 different machines, If she was the only one in the Laundromat she could have used a couple of washers to complete her wash, If arriving @7 pm maybe done by 8:30? 2 hours and 45 minutes seems a long time to wash clothes. 9:45pm not done yet. There is also a sign about do not leave clothes unintended.

As for the Cleaning lady ( this is not the owner, but just a Cleaning Person ) acting nonprofessional, being rude and using slang and vulger language, I will deal with her and probably Fire her! Her job is to clean the Laundromat when all washes are finished and / or people are gone and close the store.

As for the $4.00 dollars that was lost, just come into the Laundromat and fill out the Out Of Order card and we will send you a refund.

We apologize for any inconvenient you have accrued, and we have been open for about 18 years of great service. Our Laundromat is kept clean, decorated nicely, Air Conditioned, Heated and well maintained

I don't think [redacted] is broken, I entered 375 and took too long to enter the 25 cents to complete $4.00.

By the time I entered the last quarter It was back at $4.00. I had to enter an additional $4.00 to get the machine stated.
