In fact, I have been to Mr*** on four occassions; times that we made the agreement and twice to check to see if the site was ready, whichit wasn't. Then I have talked to him on more occassions. On these, he requested changes, the last being a total change of size. All of
this has created great delays. I n addition this winter has come early and hard. Now, Mr*** has changed phone services and number, which he has not provided to us. We have tried numerous calls, to no avail! Also, his building includes a special scissors truss in part, which always causes great delays.We would be ready shortly, if we could reach him.Arlen *** Buildings***

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Mr*** has lied in his response The original agreement was signed on 9/08/when he came to my house to provide a quote At that time I did have a phone under US Cellular As of October 7th, I changed to my current number of *** To which Mr*** was provided that number I have a screen shot of a missed call from him on 11/16/8:07pm as I was in the shower I called him right back This is all documented on my cell phone, which proves that Mr*** has lied about this and numerous other points.When I last spoke with Mr*** he said they would start building the first of December (first week of December) Since then he has screened my calls and refuses to return calls My girlfriend has also called and spoke to him and provided her cell phone number to have him call back with a status of the building He told her he would call her back in about minutes, that was weeks ago.He was informed the site was ready for the building and asked him to come out and check the site He stated he would be out on Saturday afternoon but never showed up When he didn't show up I called him to see if he could just come out and put the posts in the ground so that I could pour the concrete About a week later I called Mr*** and he said he would be dropping off some of the materials (as they were all in) to the site and never showed upThat's when Mr*** quit accepting my calls and didn't return any calls I made to him.He has only been to my residence twice Once on 9/08/when the original purchase agreement was wrote up requesting a 40X Then again on 10/02/when I asked him to change the size to 36X On that agreement it was decided to omit scissors trusses He was paid $10,at that time The winter has been mild and we didn't receive any snow until the mid-end of December so the weather had no bearing on this, in fact all the contractors are working later this year than they have in the past.This shows a series of lies by Mr*** I have copies of all the agreements I am now worrying about my deposit, maybe this case has turned into a Theft by Contractor issue and my deposit is being used for something else
I just want my money back so I can get this constructed with someone else If he is willing to lie about all the issues at hand I'm worried about the quality of his product and if my shed will ever get done to my satisfaction I do want to warn others about doing business with this company though as he is a good salesman, but following through is a real problem.I want my $10,back (I should be asking for interest) immediately

We ordered our building in February of this year. its the end of August and no building, many promises, lots of smoke and no building. Keeps trying to put cheap materials instead of what we need. Can not get our money back, have to pay an attorney and go thru the process and hopefully get something back of our 20,000.00 back. Have talked to others with this same experience. If only we had known.

Review: Stern Buildings will not return any phone calls, voice messages, and will not return to our construction site to finish work on our pole building. I have placed over 30 phone calls with voice messages and received two return phone calls per my cell phone records. Everytime I have contacted the salesman [redacted] about a completion date for our construction he will not give me an answer and basically gives me the complete run a round. I would like to add the initial invoice for the building is paid for in full. An addition was added during construction and this is the part Stern will not complete. I have requested a final invoice for the addition without success.Desired Settlement: I would like the construction completed and a final invoice issued so I can use my building and pay for it.

We had a pole building constructed by Stern Buildings Of Melrose Wisconsin. It took 10 months for them to complete a 24' x 24' pole shed. Most of the delay was related 1 one 4' x 8' piece of tin that was missdrilled by a subcontractor. It actually took the company over 6 months to finally replace that one sheet of tin.

Our most significant complaint was a total lack of communication on the business's part. We were never notified when a subcontractor was scheduled to come out to work... they would just pull into the driveway. The builder had to return due to multiple leaks in the roof and a piece of siding tin that was missdrilled leaving open holes in the side of the structure. Also the sliding door was hung too low to clear the cement once the cement was poured.

I should state that the cement contractor was the only positive of this transaction. He called before coming out and his companies work was excellent.

We should have been forewarned when the salesman would not retrun telephone messages, and we had that same experience with company owner, [redacted], when we tried to call the owner to get responses.

We did did not get any response back from multiple phone messages left, so then we began emailing the owner, still with no response.

It was not until we brought up the possibility of involving a lawyer that we get any response. And it still took 3 months after the replacement sheet of tin was delivered before [redacted] finally sent out another Subcontractor to complete the building.

Their advertizing is "highest is quality, lowest in prices" which is completely false in our opiniion. It turns out that they use Menards buildings and hire subcontractors to do the work. We could have just bought a Menards building ourselves and then found our own subcontractor to contruct it! That is whatwe will do with the next building!

We will never contract with this company again and will not give anyone positive recommendations related to their work!
