Steve Geyer's Towing & Transportation, Inc. Reviews (7)

6/11/2015Good Day,We received a notice, advising that a complaint had been lodged against our Company. We are aware of this customer's dispute, and have attempted to address it with the customer directly. Unfortunately, they are only providing one, much altered, side of the story. This dispute...

pertains to a Tow & Recovery service we provided, at the request of the MD State Police, due to a tractor trailer being disabled in the middle of the road. When the State police or other Government Agencies call us, we are under their direct supervision, operate under their regulations, and provide service with rates & method of payment determined by them. We have no control regarding the rates charged for police tows/recoveries. We do require, for payments made via credit card, for card be physically present, something this customer was unable/unwilling to do. This customer in particular was overly difficult at the scene, created a hazardous environment for the towing professionals, as well as the state highway workers and MD State police on scene. While we appreciate this customer's complaint, however unfounded, it is being directed at the wrong individual/agency.Thank you,Steve GOwner/Operator

1) Rest Area in MD, not
a welcome center.
2) Our TWO drivers did
locate the first driver and received the keys and the paper work.
3)...

The other driver
directed them to the other side of the parking lot where the vehicles were
already unloaded and off the trailer ready to be picked up.
4) Our two drivers
located the vehicles and proceeded to complete a BOL, they could not locate or
get an answer on the original drivers cell phone in order to complete the BOL.
5) Our drivers notified
the office about not being able to locate the driver to sign off on the BOL as
well as the excessive damage.
6) Notified Suncoast
Auto Transport of the problem, they were unable to locate the driver.
7) Proceeded with both
of my drivers confirming the damage before loading.8) Turned this matter over to my insurance per [redacted] Transports request and the claim was denied. Please see attached the e-mailS and certified letter from my insurance company explaining why the claim was denied and we cannot be responsible for it. I have also attached a certified letter from the original carriers insurance company explaining the facts.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:We are glad that we finally got the response from this party; however they did not tell the truth. The owner of the business, Steve had forced us to pay either cash or Com check( which consider as cash in trucking industry), which they never mentioned before performing the towing service. The truck was broken down because of faulty battery, which we had "[redacted]" to provide the roadside service on 5/13/15. We even asked "[redacted]" to charge us additional $450 to pay for the towing. The owner of Steve Geyer's Towing, Steve even refused to get the payment from "[redacted]" and insisted to tow our truck back to their yard for $750 additional. This company has numerous negative feedback from [redacted], yet they paid for taking off from the website, which is evidence for hiding their inappropriate business practice. Moreover, when the tow truck approached us, we specifically told the driver that we had faulty battery, which caused the break down. We asked the truck to be towed to local truck shop for repairing. Instead of towing to the local truck shop, the truck was towed the parking lot of the scale station right by the FWY [redacted]. The tow truck driver want to leave our driver and truck there, which was not the service we asked for. We asked to be towed to the local shop, yet Steve refused. The location of the scale station was in the middle of nowhere. We afraid that driver is not going to get the help. The negotiation back and forth between Steve and me, which triggered his antagonism. We are attaching the Motel invoice which was paid by our driver's credit card. Our driver did have credit card with him for pyaing $450 towing service, but Steve lied to get him off the dispute. Additionally, we have attaching the roadside service invoice, performed by "[redacted]", who agreed to help us pay for the towing service, yet Steve refused. Finaaly, we are attaching the invoice issued by Steve Geyers Towing service to prove that they do charge us $1200 for 10 miles distance.
Regards,
[redacted]

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
In order to bring this case to justice, we really appreciated Revdex.com effort to resolve the dispute and dishonor the business with commercial malpractice. We will also consult with MD State Police and MD HWY patrol dept for the resolution since the Towing company claimed that they are under contract with local Police and MD state police dept. I obviously doubt that their business practice comply with police regulation.

07/09/2015Good Day,Please be advised that, due to the libelous & defamatory statements made by the complainants, we have referred this matter to our attorney. Any further communications pertaining to this complaint should be directed to their office. While we appreciate Revdex.com's efforts to resolve this issue, the lack of support of a business, with a history of providing a high level of service to the area, for over 28 years, is quite disappointing. Our attorney's information is listed below.Sincerely,Steven GOwner
