Called Customer and left message addressing issue

As the customer stated in his review the other tech from a different company confirmed exactly what we originally told the customer that the refrigerator is not worth fixingOur standard trip charge for any tech to come to a home to diagnosis
the problem is $We properly diagnosed the problem and charged fairly and upfront for about thatWe are an authorized service center for MaytagHe is incorrect on thatHowever we do not fix compressors because the cost is so high and we do not recommend itAs far as him coming into the store he was not being reasonableI was also in the store when the customer was hereHe was very confrontationalI as a female was getting very nervous and upset with his behavior, he needed to leave the store

My main complaint is I was never told up front that they do not fix Freon or sealed system problemsIf I would of known this I would of never had them come out because I suspected a cooling problemThe tech did not do a proper diagnostic because he never tested nothingI said I thought maybe the bimetal was bad and he said yes it isAnd that was not the problemMaytag tells me they are an authorized service center for products that they sell but if they did not sell it they are not giving Maytag's blessing to work on itThey can still work on what they want
MY second tech did not say it was not worth fixingSteve's tech did tell me it would cost $to fix the frigMy second tech told me it could start at $and go up
When I went to the store to ask for my money back I did tale to I think Steve and We did talk about the problem with the frig and We did get loud sometimeHe finally said He would give me $back if I bought a new frig from himI said I would not buy from himIt was after that He got mad and told me to leave his store
I think the bottom line is the fact they never told me they do not fix Freon problems and that was my problem, I was pretty sure of thatI would of never hired them if I would of known this up front
I would still like my $back since I still think they scammed me

There are many many reason a refrigerator will not coolthe compressor being one of them, all of them usually worth fixingThe compressor is notJUST like we told the customer and the other tech confirmedWe do not do compressors because they are not worth fixingWe are honest with the customer and tell them to put the money towards a new unit insteadIf the customer or any customer with any appliance (i.ewasher with a bad transmission) has a service call and the tech determines it is not worth fixing the customer can come into the store and get a $credit from their service call upon the purchase of a new unitAgain, no matter what the diagnosis is the standard service call is $79.95, which is very reasonable and on the less expensive side in the industry for a repair person to come to your homeWe are not scamming anyoneAnd yes we did tell him to leave the store because of his behavior

When the customer was transferred to me it was never explain that the scratch was on the inside of the drumShe said her husband was vacuuming and noticed a 10" scratch on itNever said it was on the insideI tried to explain that the customer has hours to report cosmetic damageHowever, now
on the report it states that it is on the inside of the drumWe have talked to the customer and have a part on order for herThe part is on order from the factory and when it comes in we are going out to put it onAll should be resolved

The product was on a back orderWe gave the customer the option to have the order refunded, to wait until it was in stock or have a scratch and dent dryer, with a very minor cosmetic flaw at a discounted priceHe accepted the scratch and dent at the discounted priceHis delivery was on time
