We too had a very similar experience recently, we contracted him to paint our whole house interior, he took $1200.00 as advance and showed only 2 days for 4 hours each and after that stopped responding to calls and texts. its been more than 2 months we keep texting to no response.
HE IS A BIG CHEATER.

We've had a similar experience with *** We signed a contract with him on June 18th for window sill repairs repairs near the garage door and screen porch. The work was to be performed from June 18th through June 24th. He showed up 2 days after he promised, requested a deposit of $ 500, worked for 2 hours and left without letting us know and hasn't been seen since. Does not respond back to several phone calls, voice messages or texts which leads us to believe that history is repeating itself. Buyer beware and do not engage in any transactions with this person.

My husband and I signed a contract with Mr. Serway for painting, carpentry, hardwood floors, ceramic tile, and stairway railing. The contract was signed January 29, 2020. On May 4, 2020, he had not completed painting, tile, railing, stairwell caps, etc. He failed to show on numerous (most) occasions, did not call and never worked more than 4-5 hrs./day. We purchased all supplies and he requested early payments. Work was not completed. Pre-paid money was not returned for work not completed. We were forced to hire another contractor to complete the work.
