From: Steven DiFranco Inc Date: Sat, Aug 27, at 12:PMSubject: Re: ID [redacted] To: [redacted] < [redacted] @cleveland.Revdex.com.org>To [redacted] ***,I am in posession of your letter dated August 25, Mrs [redacted] told me she didn't want to send her diamond out another time as it had been sent away numerous times, and she didn't want it sent out again These were her words to me.We will be more than happy to inspect the stone, send it to [redacted] for their opinion on the stone and make logical and intelligent decisions based on what they have to say I'm sure Mr and Mrs [redacted] would love to bring this situation to a speedy end as much as I would, but to do that the inspection and the [redacted] opinion is a must We will not take an appraisal opinion as the final answer because it even says on the bottom of that particular appraisal that Mrs ***'s insurance company had done "All references to quality are approximate" It also states this on the bottom of an [redacted] Certificate: "The report expresses an opinion at the time of examination of the stone It is not a guarantee..." Even a [redacted] certificate says "This document represents ***'s professional opinion...." The bottom of our appraisal states: "The foregoing appraisal is made with the understanding that the appraiser or Steven DiFranco Incassumes no liability with any respect to any action that may be taken on the basis of this appraisal."All that being said, we will be more than happy to work with Mr and Mrs [redacted] in this matter, but we do have to act in a way that is fair and just to both parties.Mr and Mrs [redacted] can call me for an inspection appointment and we can get this process started so it can come to a timely conclusion.Sincerely,Steven JDiFrancoSteven DiFranco JewelersS.O.MCenter RoadWilloughby OH [email protected]

8/1/ For over years we've taken care of our customer's needs and backed up what we sell and serviceThis situation is no differentIn this particular situation, we do have the right to physically inspect the stone in question at this point in time, and we must send it to the
*** *** of *** (***) to get their opinion of the clarity and color grade of the diamond in question*** will have to do this to the best of their ability given the fact that there is a chip in the stoneOnly after this is done can we all move forward
Over the years we've helped numerous customers with insurance company claims for lost, stolen, and damaged jewelryThe scenario with the insurance company that Mr and Mrs *** have described is one that we've never encounteredIt is also commonplace to have insurance companies contact us during customer claims to discuss and verify information; this did not happen in this particular case
Nobody in their right mind would pay anything to anybody without this type of non-biased verification and physical inspection
Sincerely,
Steven JDiFranco, President

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Dear [redacted],Can this account be placed on hold for about a month? I have sent the diamond to be certified by [redacted]. This process takes three to four weeks. After I receive the certificate back I will follow up with Steven Difranco Jewelers directly. I will provide the original [redacted] certificate, the [redacted] certificate and let him look at the diamond while I am present. I would like to bring this situation to conclusion due to its upsetting nature.I would prefer to not close this complaint until this situation has come to a final resolution after our meeting with Mr. Difranco. While I understand an appraisal is an opinion by whoever does it. At some point when the appraisal is so far off by several grades of color and clarity it becomes fraudulent as described in the documentation provided to the jeweler and the Revdex.com.
Regards,
[redacted]
