My family and I have had some dental work done at Dr. Krause office. I have insurance through my local union. The lady at the billing window said that she knew how much my isurance would cover and that I would have to pay for the rest out of pocket. I am a new union member and did not know how my insurnce works,so I greed to pay the amounts they told me upfront. But later after talking with my union rep. he told me thats not how its works. The dentist office is supposed to send the bill to the insurance company, they pay thier amount then I would be billed for the remaing ballance. So they had no way of knowing how much I would actually owe till after the insurance paid thier part. so my wife and I over paid for services like $1,000.00 for a deep cleaning. And then asking for more money after everything had been paid for. And scheduling appointment that I did not make and then billing me for work I did not have done. And the crown I had done was never finished and when I asked about it the dentist said he could not help me but he could refer me to someone els.
