Steve V*** did my taxes When they were first finished I was told I owed quite a large sum of money But it was discovered that *** *** had made an error on the I received for money from my Dad’s estate*** *** made a correction But Steve V*** never corrected my taxes, although I continued to try and get them fixed The IRS continued to come after me I found a CPA this spring who knew my return was wrong, and when I contacted Steve V*** to get a copy of the return I really struggled getting them to give me a copy Not long ago, with the wonderful help of Mark S***, Selleh Financial, the IRS returned all of the money they had taken from me and closed the case The stress and fear and financial trouble I went through for over years was horrible I don’t want anyone to ever go through what I have gone through

My wife and I have been in the valley for 14 years and have used the Vogt's tax service for all of that time. For the first 11 years we used the Chandler office and spoke with either [redacted] or [redacted] in person. I can say we have had great service for the duration until the last 3 years from the [redacted] office.
Why I am writing this is this last year I was pressured to finish (sign) a return I felt needed a second look by the [redacted] office and was told it would entail additional expense and time, and that time was short for them it would simply not be possible to go over it. They suggested maybe next year go over it with [redacted] and [redacted] in person. My wife had already written them a check (which I found out was a mistake on our part since I had to put a stop on payment.) and they sent it home with me to go over. Since this was not an acceptable return I wanted them to include more information and they refused by stating the reasons I mentioned. I found an alternative preparer and got the taxes done.
[redacted] called me last week stating that I had illegally written them a check and cancelled it and she would be sending me to collections if I did not pay for the return we did not use. ( which she called today and agreed to send me a bill for) At no point was [redacted] willing to admit that they had made a mistake in any way dealing with us and that they want me to pay for their poor useless effort.
This is how they treat their loyal customers.
